I would like to share my experiences visiting Pluckley's Parish Church, dedicated to St. Nicholas. I have been to this place four times, and unfortunately, on each occasion, all the photos I took ended up being corrupted. Interestingly, I had taken several pictures of other churches just ten minutes prior to visiting this location, and all those photos turned out fine in terms of quality. Similarly, the pictures I took after visiting this place were also in good condition. However, none of the photos I took at Pluckley's Parish Church appeared on my SD card or phone. The only image I have ever recovered as shown in attached. Pluckley's Parish Church has a rich history, with its origins dating back to the 13th century. One notable feature is the Daring Chapel, constructed in 1475, which is separated from the rest of the church by two screens. It is believed to be the resting place of Lord Daring's wife. According to the story, when she tragically passed away at a young age, her grief-stricken husband wanted to preserve her beauty from the ravages of death. Her body was adorned in an exquisite white gown, holding a rose in her hands, and placed inside a series of seven lead-lined coffins, each fitting within the other like Russian dolls. These coffins were then sealed and laid to rest in an oak sarcophagus within the Daring Vault located in the south chapel of St. Nicholas Church, where other family members also rest. Legends surrounding the church mention various supernatural occurrences. Some claim to have witnessed a peculiar light dancing around the window near the vault, while others have heard knocking sounds. Additionally, there have been accounts of sightings of the Red Lady herself, floating gracefully around the churchyard in her beautiful gown during the late evenings. However, I must clarify that during my three previous visits, I personally did not experience any of these phenomena. It is worth noting that there are stories associated with the Red Lady searching for the body of her stillborn child. Despite the unusual experiences with my photographs, the history and legends surrounding Pluckley's Parish Church make it a fascinating place to visit, especially for those intrigued by tales of the supernatural.

Ghost Hunting in Pluckley with a visit here is a must, lovely old church (unfortunately we didn't get to go inside) The local ghost walk guide gave many interesting facts (I won't give them away) Very eeire from twilight onwards, be warned there are many ghost hunters that frequent the churchyard at night, so you may not be alone We were joined on the last night by the Ghost tour man's Cat, who was very friendly

St Nicholas’ Church is a grade I listed church, which is over 900 years old, with some areas dating back to the Norman age. During the centuries alterations and extensions have been made, such as the main nave and chancel roof, built during the 14 century. The medieval spire, south porch and the Dering Chapel were added during the 15th century. Lit a candle and admired the stain glass and bronzes.
