Lovely little farm trip with the kids! We spent a couple of hours at Home Farm at Attingham and had a great time. Staff were super friendly—farm workers even stopped to chat and tell us about the equipment and the peacocks, which the kids loved. The tea room was fab: fresh cakes, scones, sandwiches, snacks, and even farm sausages. There’s a small gift shop too, which was a nice touch. Lots for younger kids—ride-on tractors, a little park, and a nature walk with tree and bird info. Our teens enjoyed it too! You can buy a tub of food (£1.50) to feed most of the animals (just not ponies or donkeys). Clean, well signposted, and plenty of handwashing stations. You get a map when you arrive which helps. Only downside was finding it—sat nav took us the wrong way. Tip: go through Attingham House car park, head for the exit, and the farm is about 100 yards to the left. £20 for a family of five—great value for a relaxed afternoon out.

What a gem of a place just a short drive from Shrewsbury. Went on a Saturday morning and it was lovely and quiet, stayed a few hours and it didn't get overly busy. All the different animals you would expect to see at a farm, they love to come close to you to be fed. It's a working farm so had a really authentic feel to it. The park is a nice size for young children. The café was lovely, very reasonable prices and the homemade cakes were 👌 my only gripe would be that it wasn't very well signposted as to where it was from the main car park for attingham hall. Other than that a brilliant day out, will definitely be returning!

We went here before heading to the NT site next door. The kids loved playing in the playground, watching the tractors, seeing the cows being milked (beware it does really smell in there!) and of course feeding the sheep and cows! It was a good morning and they had nice cake baked locally and nice coffee/tea. All in all it was nice to support a small local farm and give the kids a stretch of their legs. Finding the place - it isn't easy to locate off the road as you can easily miss the turning. There isn't a huge sign but if you see Home Farm turn there even if you think no that can't be it...because it is!!!

I visited this place last week with some members of my family. I left upset and angry. The first shed has adult runner ducks and runner ducklings. The ducklings had a heat lamp but the box was too small for them and was very rickety. Neither the adults or ducklings had any food or water. I filled their water bowls myself and they were desperate for water. On walking around the grounds, there are various hen houses housing far too many creatures. They were climbing on top of each other and was very upsetting. In a corner of a field was a long narrow cage with a peacock in. This bird was clearly distressed running from end to end. Once again this poor bird had no water. This was meant to be a lovely day out with my young grandsons but instead ending up with me running around trying to give your creatures water. I left feeling very emotional and sad for those poor birds and animals. Home Farm you should be ashamed of yourself. Please don’t fob me off with excuses, I work at a Wildlife rescue centre and know how animals should be cared for. I do not intend to leave the matter there and will be taking...

Wasn’t very impressed, was looking for a farm to visit whilst on our holiday with my two small children and read great reviews so decided home farm the one to visit. It appeared rather run down and not very welcoming. Upon entering there was a large crowd around the “cafe” so followed on through to find a “Pay Station” to enter the farm as there was no clear signage, we were then chased and shouted down by a lady to pay, turns out you pay in the cafe but as I say not very clear signage. Agree with what others have said it’s rather expensive for the day we spent there (30 mins tops) the cows in the court yard looked in disparate need of a clean out and the “milking station” again not looking its best, some cows looking very worse for wear. The animals in the fields seemed happy enough but once walked around there that’s your lot, so back off home we went. I would say the only positive words would be I liked they had labeled the trees so we were able to identify and teach the children, but...

Went to home farm last week with my great niece. Was hoping to see some big improvements over the years I had last visited with my young children. Sadly not infact we were all appalled, for the few animals they have. The ponies had hardly any grass to graze on mostly weeds and dried mud. No clean water for any of the animals at all. The sheep were desperately in need of shearing in fact clumps of fleece was scattered across the field. The eating area was covered in bird poo and I had to wipe table down before we ate. The most disturbing thing we saw was the up keep of the milking shed. The stench was unbearable and managed to get pictures . It clearly hasn't been cleaned out in a long time. Cows were perching on places they could find. Even a huge puddle in the middle that looks awful. I also took a video. Why would you not keep it cleaned down at the end of each day?? It looks like weeks of filth. We were all disturbed by what we saw. It's not...
