It has the usual National Trust excellent covid secure organisation and hygiene. Good to see the picnic benches outside the cafe being spray disinfected clean as well as a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a coffee. The gardens are beautiful and environmentally friendly. I loved the bee posts and the way parts of the well maintained gardens had been left to encourage wildlife. Good to see the vines and the quirky but clear signs. The clearly waymarked parkland walks provided an additional dimension with clear advice given about the length and nature of the different walks. The views from the top of the Iron Age fort were spectacular. We will certainly...

What a beautiful treasure of a walk!

I came up from a different way (through Yatton) and the hike up, although arduous, was very worth it. The Scottish pines along the way provide shade and a place to rest.

The top is a shaded area filled with blackberry bushes, and tall pines, looking over the valley below. Crossing the hill you are greeted with a stunning view of Croft Castle and it's grounds.

The walks are clearly labelled and easy to follow, but be sure to...

Wonderful far reaching views over surrounding hills. There is one particular spot with bench, not easy to find though, where you can lose yourself in admiring the surrounding beauty. Great walk up from Croft Castle car park rewarded with stunning views in all directions from the top. Quite well preserved hill fort with a steep scarp slope on one side. Interesting woodland surrounding the area. Quite muddy in places but easily manageable.
