It has the usual National Trust excellent covid secure organisation and hygiene. Good to see the picnic benches outside the cafe being spray disinfected clean as well as a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a coffee. The gardens are beautiful and environmentally friendly. I loved the bee posts and the way parts of the well maintained gardens had been left to encourage wildlife. Good to see the vines and the quirky but clear signs. The clearly waymarked parkland walks provided an additional dimension with clear advice given about the length and nature of the different walks. I came up from a different way (through Yatton) and the hike up, although arduous, was very worth it. The Scottish pines along the way provide shade and a place to rest.
The top is a shaded area filled with blackberry bushes, and tall pines, looking over the valley below. Crossing the hill you are greeted with a stunning view of Croft Castle and it's grounds.
