We've been camping here for the last 20 years, and it never seizes to amaze and inspire. The setting is incredible, nessled at the base of snowdon. It makes for a very peaceful getaway where you are surrounded by nature and breathtaking landscapes. The campsite itself has changed a lot over the years, and they have put a lot of effort in the last few years to make it a very family-friendly place. They have lots of facilities onsite, including its own little bar, pizza takeaway, and shop. You can hire kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards or take your own, and it's free to launch if you are staying on site. Inevitably, camping in Britian is dicey, but they have created some lovely camping areas and planted lots of trees to protect from the elements and winds. If you go prepared you'll always have a great time no matter the weather. It's a great place to bird spot just sat by your tent. The birds are very inquisitive. If you're really lucky, you'll see the Welsh mountain goats on the other side of the river on the woodland path. There's some great places to visit, including Beddgelert only a 10-minute drive and the start of the Watkin path only a few minutes drive away.

This is such a fantastic campsite! We came here over the late Spring Bank Holiday weekend and such a fab time! There were 2 of us and our 2 dogs and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience! There are lots of lovely walks nearby and Betws y Coed is only a short drive away. The campsite had plenty of clean facilities and the food and drinks available were brilliant!! We're both vegan so to be able to have a delicious breakfast and brew cooked for us rather than us getting wet in the rain was extremely appreciated! On top of that, the fire pits that were available for use were perfect and the wood was cheap - much to the gratification of one our dogs (see pictures!). Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We found this pathway by accident because we lost where actually we want to go. And we've been so happy cause it looked stunning. We couldn't manage to reach the top because for kids was challenging experience. Defined going back without kids to get to the top

Everything is good except for a few things that I will point out, first I would like to say that the food that you can get near reception is really nice and the shops sell things that you can use for camping, the views are amazing and the lake and stream is very nice for a swim walking up the mountain is a lovely experience and there is good staff to speak to in need. There are some negatives though, the showers can change in temperature and it is not nice. Also it doesn’t seemed to be cleaned very often. Also there is near enough no service that you can get anywhere in the campsite even if you are next to the reception with the WiFi provided. I do understand this though because of the mountains blocking the signal. The toilets are also not cleaned, if these are improved I am sure this review would be 5 stars thank you for the nice time...

I would not recommend you stay here if you are vulnerable or concerned about Covid 19. The measures in place here are extremely relaxed. We stayed in a campsite the week prior to staying here and the difference was rather shocking.

Check in was confusing, camping is unallocated and busy. The toilets were dirty every time I used them and the showers half of the time. The water backs up in the shower so you stand in 2 inches of old water.

The campsite was busy so there was always a queue to use the facilities and the first night it was so smoky from every single person lighting a campfire so close to one another.

The scenery and the location are outstanding - the pizza is very good and the queuing system on this side of the bar is sensible but the other side should think about using the...
