Even though I had obviously heard of Budle bay being a born and bred Geordie. I had never been there so I was really quite excited to go. Except I got a bit of a shock when I stepped onto the sand. As I started erm well SINKING into the sand!!!!!!!!! Which made me ever so slightly nervous. Luckily I was ok and I didn't sink any more than an inch or 2, but it certainly spiced the day up a bit. This is a beautiful part of England. The tidal beach overseeing the distant Lindisfarne is amazing. When the sun sets quietly over the ebbing tide, it's amazing.

Amazing place to walk towards Bamburgh! Hardly a soul on the beaches. Dog friendly but was very windy on a sunny November morning!
