Beautiful scenery all around the area of the castle grounds, with blackwater river running down behind the castle. The castle itself is rich in Irish history and was built in the early 15th century. It's has deep drops around the castle grounds so be careful. There is a graveyard just outside the old and impressive walls with monks buried there and an old, tiny stone built worship building with a bee keep within its fence, so be careful of the bees too....
