First time back to Berrow beach for many years. Loads of space to park on the wide sandy beach. Toilet block near entrance, was fully stocked but some people clearly can’t use them without making a mess. Beach staff & lifeguard station to inform people of the hazards at low tide. Nice family beach, loads of room on a busy warm day. 15 min walk to Brean Leisure centre if that’s your thing, also 15 mins to some local shops & a decent Fish & Chip shop. Car park closes at 6pm, very disappointing to see some lazy & slovenly people drive off & leave their rubbish, including nappies & bagged dog poo on the beach when there are bins that are regularly emptied only a few yards away, only for it to be ripped apart by gulls & blown across the sand. Overall a great place to spend a relaxing day, with plenty of sand dunes to explore. Masses of room to play ball games & as the sea was in at around 2.30pm, lots of opportunities...

We chose this beach for a quieter day out by the sea, instead of the more popular, crowded beaches. We were able to park on the beach, which was perfect for me using crutches. There was a more sandier area with a few families. It wasn't busy, although it was a warm day. We took a short walk across the beach, and there were a few dog walkers and only a handful of people in the sea. Perfect if that's what you're looking for. It could have just been that it was a week day, though. There are lifeguards and facilities very close. The unisex toilets weren't the best but still usable, and a cafe with tables and chairs. An ice-cream van came across the beach a few times and also a horse and carriage. Parking costs were...

Really nice and easily accessible beach with parking on the beach. There are lots of dog walkers but also plenty of families etc. It's not really the kind of beach where you can go for a swim as for most of the day the water is really far out and there is dangerous mud, but great place just to relax a bit. And there are the remains of an old shipwreck which are interesting to look at. You can also take a walk through the dunes which are very interesting and a habitat to many birds. Cuckoos can apparently be found here but we didn't see any. Saw some.green finches. Long trousers are recommended for the circular walk as there are quite a lot of nettles...
