(updated 14.9.2018) well I've just returned from Teesmouth nature reserve & to say disappointed, the parking area is basically an end of lane area to a works place... (find a place & park basically) wildlife as expected the time of year & time of day certainly played a part of what hasn't been seen today!!

I'd say the beach is a nice clean beach "which I'd very much recommend for dog walkers, couples & for a general nice time... however if you turn right &head towards the harbour then expect a lot of rubbish... anyway I've some images to share (hopefully you'll enjoy them still) I'm planning on returning hoping on much better sightings etc.. seal sands well.. sorry to say wasn't a welcomed sight.. but I'll add more to that later...

THE UPDATE!! well its my 2nd time I've popped out here, Friday evening just before 6pm & I've really enjoyed my short visit... spoken to a local chap who's given me some good tips of places to go & visit etc & yeah we...

This was my forst visit and i was surprised by the place, theres a really nice juxtaposition between industrial Teesside and the beach. I had a good walk around and found it popular with dog walkers, the only downside was that it appears that someone or somebody had set fire to some of the marram grass and there were a lot of discarded beer cans which is a shame. I didn notice a few poo bags complete with contents just left lying around, why do people think this is acceptable. Theres free parking which is great and looking north a fabulous looking beach at Seaton Carew. I think going at low tide will help you get the most...

We have been going to seaton Carew since we were children so today my sister and I decided we would venture here and have never been to this part of the beach till today. For us being a dog owner's this was a haven, masses of clean space for the dogs to run around, met some other dog owners who were all polite & respectful. The views of north and south gare were great so we're the sounds from the seals that were opposite us relaxing away. It is an easy walk, from the car park you take the path through the golf course till you hit the dunes then onto the beach with a great view over to the steel blast furnace (RIP) A...

Great little walk around 5 mile if you walk the left side down to the farm and back stunning views of the wildlife then cross over the sometimes busy road I walk the left of the river but that’s my choice then follow river past bird hides up to top gate if the tide is out you will see loads of seals on the sandbanks in front of able Uk then right down to other gate then right again follow big barbed wire fence to bottom then right again back to hides I had great views of 2 marsh harriers but there’s loads of other wading birds oh it also has the most pointless secured gate I think iv ever seen

Established in 1966, Teesmouth National Nature Reserve is one of the oldest nature reserves in northeast England, protecting both industrial heritage and natural marshland. The area is particularly important for migratory birds and seals, and its unique blend of mudflats, sand dunes, and wetlands supports a rich biodiversity. Great views, free car park, part rocky, part sandy beach—ideal for walking your dog, going alone, or simply enjoying the coast with whomever you like.
