Ramp City Skatepark — Attraction in Borough of Fylde

Its good, got some good ramps and a massive vert ramp. It could do with a lot a lot of work. *The roof leaks when it rains, making the park have wet spots. *Bits are coming off some of the ramps making it more challenging and more of a risk to skate. *theres no real flow to it, its just bits skattered here and there. *Theres chunks taken out of the wood from skateboards smacking into them through time. When your board hits there, theres sharp nails and screws that mess up your deck. My new deck has sadly suffered from that. *theres nowhere easy to stick your bags next to the ramps. This leads to bags piled up at the side, blocking the entrance in some cases. The park is in desperate need of renovation. Its falling to bits. Id rather travel a bit further to go to ones that are more well-kept and more tidy and less falling to bits than there sadly. A generous 2 star in my opinion because the vert was fun where there wasn't patches of slippery puddles of water. *Theres a woman who has the personality of a rottern apricot. Not a bad park. Has some nice features and never seems too packed the times I've visited. The small mini-ramp with the spine is very user friendly and good to practice on. Small low street section is pretty fun. If you're into vert there are several sizes of quarter pipes / mini ramps and obviously the huge halfpipe which is fairly intimidating, though oddly enough no bowl. The wood surface areas are nice and smooth but the painted concrete areas aren't always the best however they are acceptable. Overall a reasonable mix of features and the price seems fair for what it is so long as it ends up reinvested...

Took the family today to be dealt with by Pam who has the personality of a bin. Very rude, spent most of the time outside talking with a brew leaving customers waiting, and when needed to change boots was told 'to what, you've already swapped'. Sat down in skate room and was told not to put skates on, said I'm not I'm just sitting down and she repeated it in a mocking tone. Very unpleasant, rude lady. Bad experience but the kids love it here. The other lady who arrived later is very nice and helpful and is great...
