My family absolutely loves this place as it is set in a very natural environment that offers much to be seen, my personal favourite is being the surrounding by the wildlife. It is free to access & somewhere we choose to visit often during the summer with our own children.

There is a slipway for boating or jet skiing etc, which many owners do here regularly. Set amongst the trees the designated paths are an enjoyable walk especially during the sunsets on a warm evening. Seating is made up of wooden benches & can be found along the paths. Activities for the children are also available here as there is a wonderful park that is split into two sections in order to provide equipment for both the younger & the older children. This is a dog friendly area & perfect for nature walks, ghost stories or generalised relaxing with those you love.

Designated camping facilities are available for those who wish to stay longer & are within the proximity but would need to be secured online separately to visiting. Near the entrance to the park there is a large amount of space dedicated to parking, you shall also see a lovely little cafe which I recommend visiting as its hosted by friendly staff & offers a variety of refreshments & snacks. Outside of this public toilets can be found & are available but do cost to enter.

As a designated attraction, if your a person who enjoys being surrounded by natural environment I would certainly recommend taking a stroll...

Nice park visited by quite a few people and a lot of dogs. Some dog owners have their dogs run free, which is fine as long as they have decent recall. I have seen some reactive dogs on lead which struggled with the dogs bouncing towards them off-lead and the owner not caring one bit, which is super selfish, unsociable and super irresponsible. My dog is only small, and gets scared of big dogs running at her, which makes me on edge and protective, so in that respect the park is not ideal. But because it stretches quite far you do not meet others constantly and there are dog owners who do put theirs on lead when they see mine is, so overall it is ok. The views are lovely, some bits are next to an industrial estate which is less pleasant but overall it's nice and if you don't mind standing in a very long queue, you can even have a coffee and something to eat on your return due to the café bit (which I think only serves outside), I'm not sure because we went home to our...

A great place for families, individuals or groups. Well maintained play areas and good starting place for walks. Information point is helpful. Ancient woodland, river history and some good views across the estuary. The cafe has a confused identity is it a Swiss chalet or snack bar, a lounge or kitchen diner? Coffee wàs welcome- from an automatic machine perhaps ? Service was good, though the owners seemed to be carrying out sone kind of restock and rearranging of the decorations whilst we ate, This would be better done when customers are not around . Certainly go to the park again and on a regular basis and use the cafes outside areas in...

Take a nature walk located in the scenic Wyre Estuary Country Park. Designed for all abilities, this trail offers the opportunity to explore the beautiful riverside landscape with ease. The path is well-maintained, making it perfect for a leisurely family outing. As you meander along the trail, you’ll be treated to lovely views of the Wyre Estuary, with chances to spot local wildlife and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There are plenty of rest areas, allowing you to sit and take in the tranquil scenery. For those looking to enjoy a pleasant walk in nature, the Stanah Tramper Trail is an ideal choice.
