Booked as a Birthday present for my goddaughter for something different and we were not disappointed. Doug and Sam are both warm and welcoming and have a wealth of knowledge, and my goddaughter certainly put that to the test with the amount of questions she asked! Their alpaca family are very well cared for and every consideration is taken to ensure they are happy. The level of respect, care and love Doug and Sam show all their alpacas and llamas is inspirational. We were honoured to be able to walk Henry and Chewi who were both very well behaved. One of the highlight was being able to feed your alpaca at the riverside on our walk and then the lovely surprise of being able to enter the female alpaca enclosure to meet the rest of Doug’s and Sam’s family. The experience from beginning to end was wonderful and made so by Sam and Doug’s enthusiasm. It is clear they both enjoy sharing their knowledge to enable people to have a better understanding of these wonderful animals. I would recommend this experience to anyone and encourage you to book up and meet Sam, Doug and the family. It was a pleasure to spend time with them all and feel others should not miss out on this hidden gem. Do not think about it, just do it, as it is a must on the bucket list for everyone and children and adults alike will have the best time. Sam and Doug thank you from us all for the great day we had and it was one to treasure. My goddaughter is already talking about coming back! Take care and thank you for a...
Read moreWhat a fantastic day we had with Sam & Doug. One thing for sure, The Alpacas are a passion to them both and by the time you leave, you will be more educated and you can only admire their work with 68 alpaca and I think it was 7 Lama. Thank you for a terrific day, it was very interesting and enjoyable. You even threw a bonus little owl and a couple of buzzards in for good measure. You don’t know what to expect when you get a Christmas present from your daughter… but I can tell you what you will get… a great enjoyable few hours. It is really worth doing and funny that each Alpaca has its own character. They know the name and character of each one and it is a pleasure to see. Keep up the good work and thank you to you both. Best Wishes Tony & Angela Ashleigh the...
Read moreYesterday, spent with my daughter Fiona, Doug, Sam and their “boys and girls “ was truly one of the best days of my life. To see the alpacas so well and truly loved, in such beautiful surroundings highlights another world, far away from the strains and stresses of 21st century living. Each alpaca is known by its name, together with its family history, medical history, special likes and dislikes and “each boy and girl” is undoubtedly treasured. Walking and feeding such gentle beauties was an absolute privilege. I (reluctantly) left the alpacas, Doug and Sam, feeling totally calm, uplifted and so grateful to Doug and Sam for sharing their “sweethearts”, their knowledge, their expertise and most of all their love, their respect and...
