The Old Barn were absolutely fantastic, exceeding all expectations. And really glad we picked the old barn for our special day.
Very delicious food!! It was really good to give our guests plenty of food choice rather than other venues where it is set one choice for all, this catered for all our guests. Tweaking and changing menu choices, For example we had the chicken with a BBQ sauce rather white wine sauce. The mains were generous portion sizes and very filling, clean plates all around. Vegetarian and Vegan options available with bespoke choices for the Bride in our case. Also, accommodating for our own choice of alcohol to be served.
The ceremony room is stunning with the wood beams, stone walls, drapes and lights; making the room feel magical on our special day. Different colour options provided by the venue for the seats. Thankgod Harriet was there on the handover day to help from meltdowns and last minute decorations.
With the barn been next to a golf driving range guests can have a swing while they waited for us to come back from the photoshoots. Plenty of outdoor space allows for guests to spread out, but more importantly garden games to be played.
They were really onboard with one of the groomsmen being our master of ceremonies, having high charisma it was great to have him. They kept him at ease before the day; on the day, prompted him what to say and when making it smooth and easy.
The package prices are really inclusive offering more than other venues that would normally be paid for such as cake knife, easel, seat covers, etc. They worked really well with our other suppliers especially the quartet.
All were flexible, friendly and listened to our requests; tailoring the wedding and making it all unique to us. Throughout the process and preparation you made us feel relaxed and calm.

Me and my wife got married at the old barn on 22/08/2025. From our first meeting with Harriet everything was so easy. The whole process was stress free. Setting clear plans and deadlines so everyone knew what was required from them. Any questions we had were answered promptly by her or Diane. Both clearly so knowledgable and invested in giving us the best day possible. They gave us lots of options for our own customisation from bunting to table decorations and everything in between. Making the space totally ours for the day. We would 100% recommend for DIY weddings. We fell in love with the barn after our first visit and knew this was were we wanted to get married! On the day, from start to finish the day went so smoothly. Harriet, Diane and the team worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure a stress free day. The split between the upstairs and downstairs helped break up the day. We couldnât be more thankful for all the hard work leading up to and on the day. Our DIY decor was handed over the day before and set up for us exactly in our vision. And again took it all down so it could be reused. Any requests we had they accommodated without any issues. we couldnât have had a better day. The food was amazing. Good portion sizes where everyone felt full. Even our nieces were Harriet went to the trouble of going to 3 different asdas to find the highly requested pepper pig jelly. Alex the DJ who was recommended to us by Harriet and Diane kept the party going all night. Hand picked the playlist to match our vibe and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. Utterly Perfect Day! Wow what can I say! From the moment we first visited The Old Barn at Esholt and met Diane we knew it was going to be the perfect venue for our special day. And it certainly was! Diane was so friendly, professional, informative and communicative from start to finish. She could answer all our questions, lay all our concerns and queries to rest and went above and beyond to make sure we had our dream wedding ... and we did. The Old Barn itself is absolutely stunning, even before adding our own touches on the day it is already beautifully done out inside. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and woods we were spoilt for choice for backdrops for our wedding day photos. The food on the day was absolutely amazing with so many of our guests commenting on how much they had enjoyed it. Diane, Harriet and her team worked tirelessly on the day to make sure our day was absolutely perfect and it was. All the staff were so friendly and polite and catered to our every whim.
