I love it here. There are plenty of trails that offer views of the Broads and fen itself. A wide variety of birds, that will change depending on the time of year. Some of the birds I’ve spotted (in summer) include coots, herons, grey-headed gulls and mallards. However, there are many more if you get lucky. The hides are all roomy and enable you to see the wildlife going about their day. Plenty of good photo opportunities. A picnic area is on site, as well as a well-stocked cafe/shop. Ample parking on site. There are also toilets available. The staff are friendly and informative. If you enjoy spitting wildlife, or just enjoy a good walk in the country, you’ll enjoy Strumpshaw Fen, whatever time of the year you visit.

A really lovely way to spend a morning or afternoon. The wildlife is thriving, the variety of birds is vast. Plenty of space for everyone, although it wasn't busy when we went. Carpark is free, and with disabled spaces. The paths are not paved, so could be a challenge for some, and wheelchair users may not be able to go on the grassy paths. The hides are all up steps, and one is called the "tower" hide for a reason. The longer route takes you over the railway line ... Twice. The second time there is a style, so may not be suitable for everyone. Plenty of places to take pictures. A bird lovers delight. You do have to pay to enter, but the money goes to a good cause. Worth a visit.

I love this place, it's perfect to escape to and immerse yourself in nature, with well managed wetlands and wooded areas along with educational information for children. There is pond dipping for children and hides to immerse yourself into the wetland world and the staff are helpful and informative. On my last visit I entered thinking I would have a couple of hours wandering as I was so busy with work, but I just got so engrossed that I left after 5 hours, seeing a Kingfisher fishing, Heron fishing and 8 species of Butterflies, but not before enjoying a tub of Gooseberry ice cream. I would definitely recommend it to any nature lover

Easily one of the best RSPB reserves in the country, and in Norfolk, it is now the epicentre for the fantastic Swallowtail Butterfly in June, though other sites still have plenty, but throughout the year it is great for Marsh Harriers and all manner of waders and ducks, including some rarer species. Bittern are often seen in flight and there are Otters at times too ( if you are lucky). We have also seen Red Kites and Barn Owls and it's a great site for Dragonflies in the warmer months. Be aware though, that through Autumn to Spring it can be flooded and the walk to the Tower Hide and beyond is often closed or extremely muddy, because high tides on the Bure and wet weather combined affect it badly. They will always signpost this though, and the alternative woodland walk and fields are very good and actually the most likely Barn Owl spotting area. A nice little reception here too, with a hide inside and good coffee ( now they've replaced the machine!). They only offer snacks though, so bring food, and also be aware that no dogs...

I visited with my grandparents and two small children. It's a beautiful place a we all thoroughly enjoyed the visit. There are toilets and picnic benches around the reception area. Staff were informative and friendly and advised us the best routes to take with a pram. Very well maintained pathways and plenty of wildlife to see. There are lots of viewing areas and benches dotted along the paths which we made use of along the way so my grandparents could rest as we chose the long walk. We saw many different plant, bird and insect species it is definitely worth taking a camera!!. We Will definitely be revising. The only downside, we felt £3.50 admission was a little steep and may discourage people...
