We joined the 12.30 tour today and had a fabulous time. The lady on the desk was welcoming and interesting but Darrel ? sorry if I’ve got your name wrong- was superb. Cheerful, engaging, enthusiastic and with a phenomenal memory for details. We had a history of the pipe works put into the context of industry in the Ironbridge Gorge and important people of the time. This factory was so important worldwide and deserves to be recognised. Read morePleasently surprised. Nice little museum in a lovely village. Roads are a bit tight to get there, but was enough parking at the site and in the surrounding roads. The guide didn't turn up for our tour, but really it didn't matter, we could walk around and read the information boards. It is well laid out, quite uneven paths and wooden stairs to go up and down, as you would expect in an old building.
