Hey there, fellow nature lovers and local explorers! 🌳☀️
I couldn't wait to share this little gem with you all – Colliers Wood Nature Reserve. It's become one of my go-to spots, and I just had to spread the word.
First things first, if you're looking for a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this place is pure magic. As a photographer who cherishes memories, this nature reserve has quickly become one of my favorite locations for capturing beautiful moments.
Walking through the trails with the kids or your loved one feels like stepping into a fairy tale. The tall trees create a natural canopy that dances with the sunlight, making it a perfect spot for family outings or a romantic stroll. 🌲🌞
There's something about this place that brings out the best in everyone. The kids can run freely, exploring the nooks and crannies, while couples can enjoy a peaceful moment by the tranquil ponds. 🦋💑
One thing I absolutely love is the feeling of connection to nature here. It's as if time slows down, and you can appreciate the simple pleasures of life. Birds singing, leaves rustling, and the distant sound of water – it's pure bliss.
And here's the best part – if you're considering a photoshoot, Colliers Wood Nature Reserve is a dream location. The natural backdrop is like a painter's canvas, and the memories you capture here are priceless. 📸🍃
So, whether you're a mum looking for a fun day out with the little ones, a family seeking quality time together, or a couple in search of a romantic escape, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It's not just about the experience; it's about creating lasting memories and a beautiful legacy.
Go ahead, embrace the tranquility of Colliers Wood Nature Reserve. You won't be...
Read more1st time visit. (Discovered on way to Ikea!!) Took the kids and dog. Car park is gravelled and clearly well maintained. There are signs at all entrance points showing the different walking routes available. Am unsure if accessible for wheelchair users due to the style of the gates at the exit points. (Kissing gates) Paths are gravelled and well kept. We did a mix of both routes to see everything in the reserve. There are lots of seats located throughout the reserve and lots of picnic benches available too. We saw lots of wild birds, herons, ducks and swans etc. Whilst there we saw little to no litter or dog waste. Bins are located throughout the routes. The reserve itself is not that big but a nice place to walk the dog and enjoy the wildlife. We found bird feeders located on the walking routes and was able to watch birds feeding. Overall, very impressed. (Annoyed that we didnt find this sooner!!) This will become a regular walk for us in...
Read moreThis is a lovely little reserve if you like to go for a gentle short stroll. Great for dog walking too you just need to make sure your doggie is under control at all times as there are lots of people and doggies about. The woodlandy area is all fenced off so you cannot walk there unfortunately. The whole park is fenced off so it's brilliant if you have wondering doggies. The car park is free which is an added bonus. Once you go out of the park if you take the long route have a look to your left and you'll see a footpath that leads to fields. This is brilliant if you want to extend your walk. We didn't see any livestock anywhere but please be vigilant on your trip as there might be some around at different times of the year. Luckily you can see all...
