A nice little spot with a unique and quirky attraction, in the shape of.....well I suppose it is meant to be an artistic take on a tree, but if you've seen the new Justice League movie it looks more like bad guy Steppenwolf than a tree, to me anyway. The sounds that come from it in the wind are actually quite haunting, but pretty wonderful at the same time. The only let down was the limited amount of parking spaces and the 'horrendous' amount of rubbish laying around and bins overflowing. But still, a nice little jaunt out as we are now allowed to roam around outdoors again.

I decided to take a short trip today. I wanted to go somewhere within a specific distance that wouldn't cost me anything, and then I stumbled upon the Singing Tree. After arriving at the parking lot, there was a trail leading to the tree. I must say I was expecting more, as the tree did not really make much of a sound, but I'm not going to let that get in the way of my rating. It was quite windy and you should do your research about when would be best to visit this tree.

Well we’ve been there yesterday as sour friends found this place so we decided to visit it . When we arrived it was very windy but I couldn’t hear the “tree” singing to be honest. It’s a nice place for a walk something that we really enjoyed it . There are a car park around and also there is one close to this structure ( we didn’t know so we parked 15 minutes away from there. It’s a nice place for dogs as well but just be careful with the roads as cars go really fast.

It’s signed Panopticon Tree, which is a bit confusing. The walk is pretty easy as most of it is stone and firm. Not good for baby buggies and very uncomfortable for wheelchairs unless they have an off road capability. I did video the tree because of the notes it was playing, however the wind speed was low so the voices in the background overrode the recording. The best parts to add to the visit are the views over Burnley, and unlike a lot attractions, it’s free.

A beautiful unique piece of art over looking Burnley. You can see this from the city centre. Was not to busy when I went. There is parking a hundred meters or so from the tree. There is also a table and some seating. The views are amazing and the tree really works and produces a tune. Sad to see the lack of care given to this site no investment since they built it so the seating is falling apart slowly. I hope it gets fixed ASAP would not cost to much.

Very interesting piece of architecture making different tones depending on the wind speed and direction. The sculpture is right on the top of the hill with a layby to park up in and then a few minutes walk to it. There is a bench to sit and enjoy the views looking over Burnley while listening to its tones. Definitely worth a visit if you like outside sculptures but I would suggest pairing with another visit locally as it won't take you long.
