Definitely worth a visit. Parking is limited, your best parking along the main village road and walking down. The waterfall is beautiful and you can see nature at its best and how it's all naturally landscaped.

You can paddle and at points it's deep enough to swim so definitely worth packing the swim stuff. The water is freezing so if you have wet suits I'd recommend putting them on. Sea shoes are also a good shout as there's lots of stones and uneven ground and some of the rocks can be slippery.

You can climb right up to the waterfall and go underneath. If you follow the stream down under the bridge there is a plunge pool with a rope swing which is great fun!

Within the village a 2 minute walk away you will find a lovely pub which is greatly priced and does lunch and dinner....

Gorgeous little hidden away waterfall and river next to the village West Burton a few miles away from Leyburn. Free parking next to the river. Google maps takes you straight to it. Go for a lovely walk in the countryside by crossing Iver the bridge and walk up the embankment and you'll walk through a gate. Just continue along following the public footpath signs.

We managed to make a full circle walking more or less parallel to the river heading up stream to eventually cross a second bridge, then follow downstream parallel the river and we ended up at the top of the village of West Burton where you can stop for a drink at the local pub or sit and enjoy the sun from one of many of the wooden benches dotted around the green.

Fabulous place tucked away from...

Evening Google fam me again, on this blistering day we decided to take the kids to the falls, this is quite a regular for us at this location as there is a little pool under the falls for them to swim and if you take a little 2 min walk down stream there are some ledges they can jump off into a pool below and it’s also quite nice for me and my queen to sit and watch from the side. It is located within a little village in west burton. A stunning village with a big green to sit on and relax or you can go sit outside their pub with a tall frosty one. Either way wherever you decide to plonk your tush you are sure to feel relaxed in this...
