We arrived around 10:30 am. The facilities nearby the car park are well managed. The cottage is full of joy and the toilet is tidy. Although the sunlight is strong, the shade of the trees alongside the path makes you feel comfortable. At the East hide, we saw a family of four cute seals. Watching them sunbathing leads to a lot of surprises. On the way to the Seabroke hide, a poor little thing was encountered, wish he/she Rest In Peace. The town is tiny but the church is worth a visit as is the bird hide if you're interested. Absolutely worth £4 entry into the house, not only is it really simple but beautiful, there was an art installation when I was there, and a great story about 'England and the Octopus' and the Freguson's Gang that was great reading. For a small donation you could make yourself a hot drink, sit in their hall and read a book or just rest, which I think is very clever, as it saves on manpower in small/remote National Trust places.
