We were disappointed with these gardens when we visited earlier this week. There were several large areas which were under reconstruction so had nothing to show, and as this is a fairly small garden anyway the large gaps had a significant impact on the overall appearance. There were some lovely flowers in the herbaceous border but here again it felt a bit neglected and in need of some weeding and tidying up! The water feature wasn’t working either which didn’t help the general ambience of the garden. We weren’t advised about the reconstruction going on when we bought our tickets, which we felt would have given us the opportunity to decide whether we still wanted to go in. The tea rooms were fine but we only had a...

Driven past loads of times going to Steart Marshes. You can see one of the old walls from the road in Cannington. Glad we stopped this time. TARDIS. Some free parking inside, but mainly reserved for EDF and other occupants so keep left on entry. Plenty of seats scattered around the well formed gardens, so took our time to enjoy the peace. Sunny and sheltered from the wind. Semi-Tropical area provides a great centre-piece. Looks like Wedding Cake tree just ready to bloom. Fee for entry to gardens, but also has good plant sale area and a Tea Room for snacks and drinks which...

The Walled Gardens of Cannington are well worth a visit, the paths take you through themed areas with plenty of places to sit and just relax in a vibrant display of colours. The glasshouse is divided into rooms containing tropical, sub-tropical, water plants etc. There's also weird and wonderful cacti. The Gardens look and feel clean, and most plants are labelled. After an hour or two roaming around the Gardens there's a lovely little tearoom with inside or outside seating, offering an array of food and drinks at very competitive prices. I thoroughly...

The beautiful Walled Gardens of Cannington in Somerset, were officially opened in 2009 by the then HRH the Earl of Wessex (now Duke of Edinburgh). We visited in May 2023 and it was a sunny and warm day which made visiting the gardens an extra special experience. Lots of wonderful and exotic plants to see, enjoy and photograph, if that takes your fancy. The blue garden is a lovely feature and the cacti house full of interesting specimens loads more than that with a wonderful lawn in the centre. Very relaxing too.

A gem of a find. If you like plants of all varieties this is the place to go. From your every day plants - roses etc, to more exotic plants - desert and tropical you won't be disappointed. It's dog friendly (not in the cafe) and lots of space for kids to run about in a safe space. Entrance is reasonably priced and there are even plants to purchase at a good price. The cafe is lovely with a good selection of cake etc.

Cannington Walled Gardens Whilst they are small but well looked after. The greenhouses all way seem to have something new to look at. I've been here several times in the past each time yhe Gardens look more and more like a well established garden that you or I would do but with finesse. Parking could be a problem πŸ˜’ The cafe needs managing. Great morning out as a stop.
