Cannock chase is a beautiful place to walk, various trails for all ages and abbilities. However, there is no dog mess bins, or bins of any kind really. So if your dog does what a bear does in the woods, your carrying it around for a few hours, don't just leave it for someone to stand in, we aren't animals. Along the walk, you will notice various signs telling you what trails are what, just like the roads, cyclists don't read these, so if you stick to the walking trails, the ones that have signs for walking on, cyclists think that's for them too, it's not, it clear says what is a cycle trail and what is a walking trail, cyclists won't slow down when passing you and your dog either, so there's a good chance you and your dog will get hit by a cyclists who think your in the wrong. Like the guy walking down the m6 thinks cars should move for him. Go ape is here but as fun as it looks, I prefer having money left in my bank account. Looking at the people doing it and there reactions, I wouldn't say it's worth the cost. It is a very beautiful place, very relaxing when noone else is around, it's just ruined by parking fees and cyclists who can't read...
Read moreI had an absolutely amazing time at Go Ape in Cannock Chase! The tree-top courses are fantastic – challenging and fun, with zip lines and rope bridges that make you feel like a real adventurer. The staff were super friendly and professional, making sure everyone felt safe and confident throughout the experience.
The views from the top of the trees are breathtaking, and it’s such a great way to spend a day in the beautiful forest.
The only drawback was the toilet facilities. Unfortunately, they only have temporary portable toilets, and the washing station isn’t the most hygienic – no running water and basic conditions. It didn’t spoil the overall experience, but it’s definitely something that could be improved.
Overall, I’d highly recommend Go Ape Cannock Chase for anyone looking for an exciting outdoor challenge. Just be prepared for the rustic...
Read moreA great place to go mountain biking with trails that are accessable for all abilities. The blue trail (Perrys) is a good trail on a bike only path. Lots of twists and turns with the odd opportunity to tackle a red feature (more difficult/ technically challenging), but always giving a way around the red if you wanted to stay in the blue. Follow the dog is another step up with more significant climbs and more challenging features though for an experienced mountain biker may be a little tame. Follow the Dog is still accessible for kids and less experienced riders but may require them to get off and walk around features or up hills. The cafes were busy and very warm inside. The toilets were clean and well stocked. There is a decent sized bike shop there but we didn't go in. The only downside is the high cost of parking - think it cost us £10 for...
