This is a lovely, relatively quiet place to visit in Herne Bay. Stoney beach, but easy access. There are public toilets on site and a wonderful childrens play area that is well maintained and contains a brilliant sand play area. There is free parking in a car park, but this does get busy in summer. This a brilliant base for walks as it is a pleasant walk along to Tankerton/Whitstable or through to Herne Bay sea front/pier and onwards towards Reculver. This area is frequently used by dog users and there can sometimes be dog mess on the path, and unruly dogs off leads which does ruin the enjoyment. The children's play area is a dog free zone though.

Good for walking, the shingle beach, cycling on the prom (but not too fast), dog walking (watch out for bikes) and great views on a sunny day.

Nice beach. Currently dog friendly. A 15 min stroll gets you in to Herne Bay.

Out of season and mid week its frequently deserted. Has a free, tidal launch ramp for PWC and small boats. Toilets, children's play area and free parking at the Hampton end only. Pub and shops are on the main approach roads also at the Hampton end. No kiosks etc along the beach. Very popular with families and dog walkers but unfortunately also with the lycra brigade that will kill you rather...

Beautiful quiet location that's great for dog walking and very little traffic due to narrow private roads. Beautiful beach front property location for those that like to enjoy a peaceful beach life that's not far from town amenities and a short walk to the hustle and bussel of more...
