A great place to park up for £1 for the whole day and within walking distance of the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct which I'd recommend... (the parking at the Aquaduct is more expensive and busier) Back to the park then... My children are all grown up now but with a green field, play area, animal and bird enclosures it seems a great place to bring the family. Facilities include toilets and a recently opened 'new' cafe with friendly staff willing to impart local information to aid people like myself to make the most of the area (by the way, the carrot cake is fantastic 😋) There is a nice paved circular walk that takes in the river with seating along the way to admire the scenery including the rail Viaduct. There is also a spur footpath (not paved) branching off the circular walk to take you to the Aquaduct (1.5 miles ish?) Makes for a nice gentle walk for couples on a nice summers day. Personally...I will not only use the park for its cafe and circular walk in the future when I'm visiting the area but also to make the longer walk to the Aquaduct again... it just adds that extra to the trip and as mentioned before, saves the hassle and expense of parking at the Aquaduct. A hidden little gem and well worth the £1 parking fee... highly recommend.

Amazing country park!!!! Only £1 for all day parking, is this real? You have everything you need there, a nice cafe with a reasonable price, a toilet, a playground, a football pitch, a river, a walking path & a stunning view that you will never forget. We were so surprised by how stunning the view is to overlook the bridge and the farm field. No need a long distance walk from the car park and the view is just right there. There are tables there you can have your picnic. We went down by the river to have a splash and it’s very cooling. Kids had so much fun there. We will definitively go again when we next around. We haven’t even made it to the little farm to see the animals. Cafe was good, we had a sandwich and a drink. Not pricy and it’s freshly made, we enjoyed a lovely family day out there.

This has to be one of my favourite local places to take the kids. The country park has a lovely circular 1mile route that's takes you all the way around the country park. On your walk you will find different animals. From pigs, alpacas, sheep and there is a small petting zoo style area that is free of charge. ( This is closed due to covid currently). On the lower part of the walk you can get down close to the river for stone skipping. But this is not a safe place for swimming or entering the water. The highlight of the walk is the views of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct a world heritage site. After a good.walk.the.kids can visit the play park near the car park where you will find a small shop and toilets ( again closed due to covid )

Amazing countrt park. Just £1.00 to park all day. Masses of greenery. Paved most of way so great for prams and wheelchairs. Information centre which has a map. Brilliant park wirh the usual things for kids. Ice creams cakes and drinks sold. Rabbits, goats, guinea pigs, pig, ducks, llamas, horses, sheep and cows to see. Steep steps to pontysycyllyte aquaduct which is about 1.5 mile walk. Amazing beautiful views of viaduct. Lovely water stop on the river when doing the circular walk. Take wellies.

Cute little country park, lady at kiosk was lovely. No toilets atm, so dropped a star. Small animals like goats, pigs and some lamas in pens but at this time not available to pet. Lovely walk by the river and through a bug trail, which has wooden creatures dotted around for younger children to explore. Also has a play park. Recommended for children under 12 but my 13 year old was happy there too. Plenty of car park space and overflow. Pay to park usually but in our visit it was free.

Ty Mawr Country Park is beautiful with interesting trails to walk. There is a small animal farm for the children and plenty of places to play. There is a Visitors Information Centre and a great Cafe serving lots of different food and drinks. There is also an ice cream parlour. The views of the viaduct are fantastic and great walks by the River Dee. It is also possible to follow a trail to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct which is a World Heritage Site. My wife and I are so lucky to live here.
