I was looking forward to a fun afternoon with the kids but was quite disappointed at the lack of enjoyment we had! The junior stocks is completely boring as is the special stocks. I would have expected more excitement as it was a bank holiday and many families were there who, like me, were expecting to see more. There was no banger racing, except for the vans but that was tame at best! No real action and on the whole not worth the money. My kids were looking forward to burgers and chips but, when l heard families around me complaining about the length of time it took them to get to the front of the queue, about 1 and a half hours l decided to give up on even trying to queue for a burger even for a coffee as that took some an hour! To sum up, very disappointing afternoon out waste of money and l wilk not be going or recommending the Mendip raceway to any of my...

This is a great place to spend the day watching action packed stock car and hot rod racing. The race track is superb with a high grass bank all around the perimeter. Bring your own chairs, picnic and watch all the fun from the grass bank. Food and drink is available to purchase on site, also a souvenir shop. There is just as much fun strolling around the huge pit area where the drivers and teams prepare their vehicles. My only criticism is the two purpose built toilet blocks are looking very shabby and in need of updating and painting. Also the spectators entrance ticket building and adjacent emergency gates are in need of a lick of paint. The cars that race have a better paint job on them. Lastly the man that does the commentary has great knowledge and enthusiasm, but I could not hear very clearly through the existing P.A system,...

This was enjoyable. Our first time to such and boy did we have a good laugh. Pre booked tickets but no queues anyway. Wish we turned up earlier to save a seat by the bleachers as it was extremely cold. As expected as it is outdoors. Just brought a picnic blanket and should have brought folding chairs instead. Lovely warm drinks and food available but we brought our own. Toilets available. Fun adult smashing racing. Never seen anything like it. Made me scream a few times. There was Junior race but that was just ok. Kids loved rolling down the hills which was hilarious. Raod go going there was bumpy and rocky but don't be put off as it was a one of a kind of experience. Free...

Fantastic fun for all the family! We went to the August Bank Holiday event which had banger racing, 3-wheel Robin racing & figure of 8 race, and "Caravandalism" which was hilarious! It was busy, speaking to regular attendees whilst in the queue for the loo they reckon it was the busiest they've ever seen, I thought it all seemed to run quite smoothly though, parking was well organised, there were long queues for food & toilets but they moved fairly quickly. Hopefully with proceeds from some more busy events they'll be able to update the facilities.
