Another Wiltshire beauty spot you can park in the lay-by on the side of the road and take a steady walk up to the cherhill white horse where the views are spectacular,on a clear day you can see for miles, there is plenty of wild life in the area,a kestrel was on the hunt hovering around us as we took in the views and the lovely fresh air,as you can see by my photo there is a crop circle in the field below,we get a lot of them appear in this area, they still remain a mystery, this one I photograph was pretty basic but some of them are very intricate. Are they man made no one seems to no,no one has ever been seen making them,it makes you wonder and the mystery that surrounds them all the more fascinating....👽....Just got back from another walk up to the top, there was a lot of low cloud and it was quite windy, talk about fresh air I got plenty.Took some more photos but could not see so far because of the mist, they don’t look to bad though considering the conditions.I was surprised to see how many people there were out walking in this lovely spot.Shame about the bits of rubbish and dog mess left behind by the people that don’t appreciate the beauty of our countryside. What a better place it would be if they took it home to dispose of properly.SHAME ON YOU....👎🏻...This is a bin please put it in....🗑.....👍. 😀. ❤️

Visited for a 6 mile circular walk I found on Komoot where you can take in the horse and monument from different places. It is a lovely area to walk in, but if you go when it is wet, do take boots, walking shoes or something you don't mind getting muddy. I appreciate mud is normally sticky, but this mud was super sticky. Parking is available in multiple lay-bys and there is a good cafe nearby. Super views and lots of interesting flint. I always hope to find an arrow head, never have.

I live in france, but during my whole childhood would come to Cherhill to see my grandparents. Going up the hill to see the white horse was a must every time. Be prepared for the rough journey up, it is tiering but so worth it (i am not fit anymore, but still managed to get to the top, in about 30 minutes, on the right side up -the one closer to the lands down monument than the white horse itself-). Prepare appropriate clothes for the high winds, and a bottle of water.
