Canoeing through the Oxford canals with my little crew 🚣‍♀️✨ Such a beautiful way to see the city from a different perspective. If it’s your first time, definitely take it easy! We booked just an hour and it was plenty (and a workout 😂). Fun for all ages and an unforgettable family day out! £25 per boat ,3seats #OxfordAdventures #VisitOxford #CanoeingUK #OxfordfamilyActivities #dayoutwiththekids

Lovely day out! Booked ahead, a few days before, booked a 2 seater canoe for 4 hours for £60. Call answered straight away. Paul, who sorted us out when we were there, was super friendly, gave us some great advice, seemed very professional, gave us lifejackets etc and some tips on where was a nice place to stop for a picnic. Canoe was great, no problems there. We went north but you could also go south. We passed two canal locks in two hours which we had to carry the canoe around but that was fine. There are areas to get out fairly easily and the canoes aren't that heavy. I think you could probably canoe in both directions for more than a day, but I don't know. The river was very pretty, lots of canal boats which are nice to look at, and leafy banks. Annie's Tearoom was also great. good menu and nice outdoor seating area.

It is an excellent place to take a walk along the canal for smile or more. There are swans and ducks. There are many houseboat moored there. The canal is serene with a pathway that goes along for miles. We fount a narrow part where we was a narrow boat arrive. We wondered how it would cross since there was a bridge which was very low. The boat person got off and There was a mechanical rotor which raised the draw bridge. We helped him to raise and lower the bridge. Surprisingly he had rowed all the way from Portsmouth, about 150 mile way. There is an entire waterway network in England. It is a way of life for some. It is a beautiful place to go and get the village feel and walk along the canal with fields on bot sides. A must visit when in Oxford, England.

I called up to ask if they offer NHS discount and the man on the phone said yes. When I brought out my Blue Light Card on arrival he retorted "how skint are you", and him and another man then started interrogating me about what I do and talking about how much they THINK I earn in front of me. I felt so uncomfortable I even withdrew asking to use the discount. The whole experience was so uncomfortable and inappropriate I can only imagine he has something against NHS staff. Shame, as this was a day I had been really looking forward to and instead I left feeling entirely uncomfortable and attacked. I wouldn't recommend asking for NHS discount here (even though they say they offer it), it is not met with...
