Located on Plas Road in Coity village, about three miles from Bridgend. Visitors can access the ruins by taking the A4061 road and following the well-placed signposts. The nearest postcode is CF35 6BG. The castle is open year-round, and visitors are welcome to explore the ruins at any reasonable time during daylight hours.

A small parking area is available beside the main gatehouse on the west side of the ruins, although it is not clearly marked. However, visitors can inspect the southern castle walls from the main road. To access the eastern walls, visitors can take a short path down Heol yr Eglys, a side road. This path leads to a field where the exterior of the northern walls can be viewed.

The castle ruins are now in the...

Nice little castle in a nice little village. It's not massive so only really enough to keep you occupied for a relatively short time. There's also not much in the way of interpretation, which is a shame as extra insight into the ruins would have been really useful. Parking was a little tricky, especially as there was an event at the village hall, so the on street parking was very busy. Fortunately managed to grab a space directly by the castle.

There's also a very nice little playground right by the castle entrance so the kids liked that.

When we visited the way from the castle to the church was fenced off which was a pity as it would have been nice to...

This lovely historical castle is free to enter between 10 to 6 pm. It is unstaffed, but there is an information board at the entrance to the park that gives you a brief history of the site.

They play and run around the lawns that are within the castle grounds. They play hide and seek to be in the many places. The or they have a picnic in a nice shelter spot.

The village does hold some events within the castle grounds like Guy Fawkes, and a Summer Fayre. Both events are entry by...

Coity Castle is a great little castle only a few minutes drive from Bridgend or alternatively you could catch the local bus to the Coity post office which is only a 150m walk away. The castle grounds are quite small but you can take a walk around the perimeter to get a better idea of how big it once was. The grounds themselves are idea for picnics and basking in the sun but i can’t imagine spending more than a couple of hours without wanting to move on. You can also climb quite high if you ignore the warnings climb up the broken staircases.

It's a lovely castle that you can walk around and through. Very photogenic and compact with plenty of structure left to get a sense of how it used to be. There is a small playpark next to it to keep the kids amused for a bit and it's a pretty little village. Parking at the castle is very limited, so you might need to find street parking elsewhere.
