Always stop for a phat one on my way to Poole. Lots of green, to watch and to smoke. The locals like to turn up with their dogs and walk down, then up. I just sit in the car park and read the interesting signs. There's an airfield behind it so I like to look at those with more money than me fly their shiny toys. One day I would like to have a little Cessna of my own, fly over Fontmell Down, land in Melbury Abbas and have a nice cup of coffee and a spliff. Then I'd take off, and fly myself to Jersey or somewhere like that with a suit case full of tax free money. That would be a good day! I just need to find my Bitcoin wallet, then I'll be sorted. Walking around the hilltop trail yields sweeping views for miles around. There's a decent sized roadside parking area. No facilities but the nearby airfield has a café if you're after refreshments.
