Houns Tout is a chalk headland on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, England. It is located about 2 miles (3 km) south of Charmouth and 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Chapman's Pool. The headland is 200 feet (61 m) high and offers panoramic views of the coast. It is a popular spot for walking, fossil hunting, and rock climbing.
The name "Houns Tout" is thought to derive from the Old English words "hūn" (hound) and "tōt" (hill). The headland is said to have been a hunting ground for the Normans in the 11th century.
