Steep steps with a handrail can be found on the right of Cresswell ices. The steps lead down to the beach, which at low tide has the most lovely rock pools as well as plenty of beautiful sand. In the water you might spot cormorants, eider ducks or oyster catchers. Along the water's edge, shells and sea coal. There's a bench at the top of the steps which is ideal to pause and appreciate panoramic views of the bay. There are loos opposite Cresswell ices and some roadside parking as well as the shop car park which is available if you buy ice-cream or a seaside souvenir from the shop.

What a lovely beach! We visited mid-morning on a Saturday in October. We found parking in the Cresswell car park very easily - there were plenty of spaces available. The beach was free from litter. Despite there being lots of dogs, there was plenty of room. Gorgeous sand and clear (by UK standards) water. Highly recommend for a walk (with or without dogs)

I like this beach a lot! There is a lot to see and sometimes you can see porpoise in the sea! It’s very interesting! There is a lot of wildlife there! Sand dunes are nice to walk though! There is lots to do and even cafes near!
