We travelled from Liverpool specifically to visit this incredible and super cool place. We were greeted by Dave, the owner, and his adorable cat Bones who both welcomed us into their world of curiosities, which include history, art, and generally so many fantastic, weird and intriguing items, all beautifully curated and displayed, so much to look at, yet not so over crowded or so overwhelming, that you miss things. Dave shared so much information about the collection and it turned out that we both had a friend in common too. He was so happy to chat and spend time with us and our time at the wonderful Morbitorium just flew past far too quickly. It is so rare to meet people who are truly passionate about what they do and who want to meet others like ourselves who also share a love of peculiarities and the bizarre of this world. At just £2.50 entry fee per person, which can be paid either by card or cash, this was an absolute steal for the experience of not only being able to view the museum, but also for the pleasure of meeting Dave and Bones We visited on a weekday and had no wait at all and we felt extremely welcome, there wasn't that feeling of 'pay and leave as soon as possible, like there is in most attractions, The Morbitorium felt like coming home and is an absolute MUST VISIT for anyone intrigued by all things strange and unusual. Thank you so much Dave for the sheer amount of time you spent with us, we really did appreciate it and we really hope to get back one day. This was hands down our favourite part of our trip to South Wales, which is the most beautiful of places with the lovliest, most helpful, kind and friendliest of people we've ever had the...

The Morbitorium is definitely one of the best places I have visited, once you step through the front door you are transported into the world of the weird and the wonderful, you won't know where to look next, there are so many things to see from taxidermy animals (I have actually bought a taxidermy two headed black duckling from them because it was too cute and a lot of the items are actually for sale which is amazing!) they have a large collection of Ouija Boards, Board Games, Tarot Cards, Human Bones, Skulls, Medical Equipment and so much more! They have a gift shop which stocks everything from Runes, Wands, Jewelry and Crystals to T-shirts (Yes I bought one of these too!) Bookmarks and Keyrings covering everything from the Super Cute and Spooky to Serial Killers! If you are "Strange and Unusual" like me, this is definitely for you, they get new things in all the time so each visit is completely different, the owners are so friendly and will either let you wander around looking at everything on your own, they let you take photos so you can take those Creative and Creepy Instagram Photos or they will be happy to chat and let you know absolutely anything about an individual item that might pique your interest. They also have a wonderful website with an online shop delivering most items straight to your door all well packaged and with excellent customer service AND you can book taxidermy classes if you want to learn a new and unique skill! Overall my Husband and I had a fantastically memorable experience and I keep going back for Mort......I mean MORE, a Spooktacular hidden gem in the beautiful...

I did a photoshoot for my birthday as a treat for myself at the Morbitorium a couple of days ago & it was such a pleasure! I am generally quite reserved & shy, so I do photoshoots as a way to express my ideas & creativity as well as celebrate my birthday. Dave, the owner, was so accommodating and willing from the very first point of contact through to the end, which made my overall experience less nerve-wracking. Dave went beyond to ensure that the photographer and I made the most of our experience, which I really appreciated.

It was my first time at the Morbitorium since hearing about it a few months ago, and being away working meant it was one of the things on my bucket list coming home. What a way to visit. Doing a photoshoot was a different way to learn & interact with the items. Everything has a unique, odd story, and it’s something I have never seen before. Dave was happy to let us play & have a very curious experience. I’m due for another visit when I’m not in “photoshoot mode” and can’t wait to bring people along. Defo 100% recommend this little mega-curious gem for either private hire, or a visit. This is something locals should be very proud of & should spread the word. The bonus is it is attached to a very generous, kind, knowledgeable man, Dave, & seeing cute curious cats pottering around...

A Fascinating Hidden Gem – A Must-Visit! We had the absolute pleasure of visiting The Morbitorium today, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, Dave made us feel incredibly welcome. His passion and extensive knowledge about the fascinating collection were evident as he enthusiastically answered all our questions, particularly about the Ouija boards and the many curious displays that fill the space. Dave is not only an interesting and engaging guide, but also someone who has lovingly opened his home to share his extraordinary collection with others. Every corner of The Morbitorium is filled with history, intrigue, and a touch of the macabre, making it a treasure trove for anyone with a curiosity for the unusual. Whether you're drawn to the eerie beauty of vintage oddities or have a keen interest in the supernatural, this place offers a unique and captivating experience. Dave’s warmth, knowledge, and storytelling really brought the displays to life, making the visit even more memorable. If you're looking for something a little different, The Morbitorium is definitely worth a visit. We’ll certainly be back!

The Morbitorium is an absolute gem! The proprietor, Dave, made our visit even more enjoyable: he's friendly, funny and happy to answer any questions you have. The several resident cats are keen for attention from museum goers, and will 'supervise' your visit as impromptu tour guides! There's so much to see here, we ended up staying for about 2 hours! The artifacts are kept in beautiful condition, and there's a huge range of items covering natural history, the occult, curiosities, and folklore. The offerings in the shop are also brilliant - unlike many witchcraft/macabre storefronts, they offer unique and interesting products which you can't find elsewhere, including vintage items: we came away with a massive haul, and we were delighted to spend the money. We're already spreading the good word to friends and hoping to visit another time - if we lived closer, we'd absolutely avail ourselves of the classes and workshops hosted there. If you love the strange and unusual, do yourself a favour and visit - it honestly made our day, and we can't wait to come back!

I had been meaning to come for a little while and I'm so glad I finally had a free Saturday to do it! This place is fabulous 👌 full of the odd and intriguing. I was greeted as soon as I stepped in the door by Dave and was told about the layout and if I had any questions he would be on hand to answer them. There is plenty on display to look at and unlike other independant/collection type establishments it's not overcrowded, narrow or stifling. The variety on display is excellent and a lot of the pieces have history and stories along with them to read. Failing that you can always ask Dave to spill his vast knowledge! Speaking with Dave he mentioned that he rotates the older exhibits for new ones periodically as well, so I have no choice but to come again in the future! The shop is also really great, lots of variety and something for everyone. I came away with a couple of bits for my own shelf and am very happy with them. I had a great time and will recommend a visit to the Morbitorium to my friends. Thanks!!
