The trails are really nice with the exception for the really annoying gate's at every start and finish of each single track(picture below). Not entirely sure what's the purpose of them except making you ride super not fun and stress. I assume they are there to prevent dirt bikes using the MTB trails, but most of them are so tight that getting a modern MTB with 148 mm axel through them can be a hassle. From this perspective it's the most annoying place I ever ridden. Apart this the trails are really nice and fun with nice view's. Unless you wanna pedal al day avoid Skyline loop. It's 51km 90% of pedaling not much descending and a million of those annoying gate's/fences. But it offers nice view's.

Great mountain biking place. The staff in the caffee and bike shop are friendly. Lot of information about trails are available outside on the information boards. There is a paid carpark in front of the bike centre. Big climb on the begging but it is definitely worth it. There is a big selection of different trails on offer. Beautiful scenery, challenging single track trails and fire roads make a great day out. Definitely a place to visit and enjoy the beautiful Welsh valleys on your mountain bike.

Popped into Afan A Blast (Bike Shop) before setting off. The staff there are very welcoming and have fantastic mtb knowledge as well as knowledge of the trails. Then headed off for my first time ever on White's Level, what a trail. Its a bit rocky and techy in places, but it pays off with the long flowy sections. Absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to come back when the weather is good to enjoy the views even more so than I did today in overcast conditions.

Just home after a fantastic 12 nights in my caravan here. I didn’t want to come home!

Purpose of the break was to allow my teenage son to mountain bike to his hearts content, and he wasn’t disappointed, and enjoyed the freedom of being able to just set off.

Huge thanks to Jeff (plus family) for showing a real interest in our son, support and advising on bike stuff as necessary. The cafe was excellent and it is obvious on a longer stay of the close network there between everyone.

*Nothing was too much trouble - everyone was willing to help, chat *

Really clear signage on recycling, waste and easy to navigate. Slightly annoying (and totally NO reflections on owners) that some people visiting could apparently not read signs of which stuff goes in which bin - the staff work so hard, and it must be really frustrating for them.

Kitchens and loos/ chemical waste all easily accessible.

Fishing was also on the agenda and we weren’t disappointed. There are also lots of trail walks. If you’re after a camp/caravan site with pubs, clubs, and entertainment- probably not for you. If, however, you crave for peace, quiet, and tranquility - whether you cycle or not, this is PERFECT.

Thank you , J and A - and hope to...

The lovely couple in this shop, Afanablast, are amazing. So very friendly and the guy will work miracles with your bike in no time at all!

I busted my gear changer on my bike. Well, my nephew cut me up and knocked my handle bars out from underneath me, resulting in a conglomeration of my handle bars and his rear wheel, which broke my gear changer.

Half hour later it was fixed and my bike was changing smoother than before! They even came and found me in the cafe above to let me know that the work was completed.

They did the same for me the previous year, when the power in my legs proved just too much for my drive chain! All fixed and running within twenty minutes. Very reasonably priced too. Would highly recommend.

Shop priced items are good too and they have some very on trend gear available.

The key is not to go in without your significant other, otherwise you may find yourself in all kinds of bike related debt.

Would I go back? Yes, and have lots of times! They will go out of their way to answer any biking related question you may have so you can continue 'Afanablast'...
