AMAZING FUN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND I took my to two Children age 9 and 11 on a Saturday after my 11 year old went the previous day with a friend and didn't stop telling me how much fun she had and that i would love it. She wasn't wrong! I live in the area and have a good knowledge of all the attractions, and this was by far the best day out of ive had for a long time. (So much better than Legoland) It is extremely well organised and very customer focused with a large presence of staff. As soon as we got into the complex we 'were greeted by a very friendly member of the security team who couldn't have been more helpful in terms of telling us what we need to do to get ready for our session. With Wet suits on, (Didn't need them in the end as the water was so warm) we entered the Aqua park after a short safety briefing and had a great time battling the various obstacles, as well as jumping off and sliding down them. When we came the end of the session we went into the man-made beach area for a swim. We didn't have to take our wet suits back straight away which we were expecting so that was a bonus. After the swim, we got some food and drinks from the bar which were very reasonably priced and very welcoming after a couple of hours in and out of the water. Whilst we were eating our food, there was a disturbance by some young teenagers who were using unruly language. I was a little disturbed by this as i have two young children who are not use to hearing such language . However, it was quickly sorted by the security team who saw them off the premises and couldn't be more apologetic to us as we were sitting near the them. Very concerning of them. To summarize, I would highly recommend the park for all ages. You could quite happily spend the whole day there and not get bored. Plus you can go back on the Aqua park with 50% off the price once you have been on already - Well worth it. Keep up the good work, and we cant wait to go...
Read moreIt's a good experience for the kids, however there are mixed groups, large adults with little kids, not ideal as there's pushing etc going on. It looked overcrowded, TBH.
Staff were all friendly, a big positive.
The choice of food is quite limited and queueing through the bar is not a great experience, makes it longer. Food once ordered was surprisingly quick.
There's a little shop, but as it was a hot day, there weren't any cold drinks left in there or in the bar, but the bar had ice which helped.
Plenty changing rooms outside, albeit a little queue. Toilets are all mixed, and not overly clean, max 6/10. Very few benches for spectators at the main location, ditto in the bar, where you do feel obliged to purchase something as others need to sit and eat, being fair.
And it is fenced, so if you are thinking about dipping your feet in the water while waiting for your kid, you can't for free.
There's a beach area, but it's not extensive, and crowded, everyone walks past you from behind.
There's parking and overflow parking, which is a little walk away.
There are small metal cage type lockers for bags, which had combination locks, not sure if they were rented etc, you should ask.
The time slots seem to work, but definitely arrive early to park, and there are queues to check-in, plus a briefing session before you start. It is designed to be time slot orientated.
One last point is, if you have your own wetsuit bring it, as once they are taken off by the previous group they are just dipped in water and hung-up, you may get a wet one!
WiFi signal works, but it isn't the type of venue to work while there waiting etc 👍
4/5 due to cleanliness, spectator provision and prices, which are high for everything, but its a water park.
I did try and call the venue multiple times, but never got an answer, just the same...
Read moreWhat a fantastic place to go. Very reasonably priced too (activities and food/drink). We went on the aquapark first before doing the ninja warrior course, used the small, but fairly quiet, beach and camped the night. The water was absolutely freezing when you first go in, but after the first couple of times it became a joy to get in. Couple of negative points that stop it being 5 stars:
There was lots of people going on the aqua course, and as such they staggered people entering the course through one point. However everyone exited more or less at the same time. This meant people near the front (and those who pushed past) got to have a longer time on the park than those who were near the middle/back. The course was so big that the far right side wasn't used until people managed to get their way over to it, past the obstacles. It would be better it there were multiple entrances so everyone could enter at the same time, getting equal time. Secondly, it says on the website you can't bring your own food/drink. Turns out you can if you are camping, including a bbq (as long as it isn't directly in contact with the ground, and kept under control). Website could have been clearer about that. Thirdly, it says you can't have music past 11pm on the camp site, but there was a party of some sorts with loud (horrible bassy) music going on till past midnight.
I'll mention the planes as it probably is relevant. You are under a flight path, so the planes are noisy, but not as annoying as the "music".
Other than that, we were very happy, staff in general were friendly, and we would definately...
