Great place to go if you want to have a scramble or little climb up the limestone outcrops. You are also able to walk up to the top where there is a trig point, offering on a clear day 360 degrees of panoramic views. You can also find and explore the cave and relics of Harborough Rocks industrial past. Care is needed as the rocks have some steep sides and the disused mine has some high walls and deep holes. Access is from the High Peak Trail which runs in front of it. There is a small rough layby on the narrow road nearby, though only fits around 6-7 cars. The alternative is to to walk from Middleton Top car park and Cafe along the High Peak Trail, though this is...

Located just outside of Middleton it is a great place for a walk. However a lot of people, myself included, go there for the relatively easy limestone climbing available. There are an abundance of easy graded routes to tick off. It is also a good place for an introduction to Trad Limestone climbing because of the large number of easy grades. Most afternoons there will a number of umbers there either bouldering or soloing up the rock.

One draw back are the factories located along the road, they can be quite noisy and unfortunately ruin the view a little.

Factories aside it's a great little venue and one I'm glad is only a 10...

Beautiful place with amazing views. Great for climbing and great for a long walk. There is a walking trail next to the rocks so you can have a long walk then a hard climb at the end. We parked in a little car park just a couple of minutes walk away and it was a free car park. Be careful as you go in as it can get very slippery on the mud. This is a great place for beginners for climbing and a great place for the whole family to have a day out. There is a little cave that you can explore but just be aware that there is a hanging rock...

There is a little cave that you can explore but just be aware that there is a hanging rock that could fall.

Harboro Rocks (or Harborough Rocks) is a dolomitic limestone hill near the village of Brassington in the Derbyshire Peak District. The summit is 379 metres (1,243 ft) above sea level with views across to Carsington Water. There is a trig point at the top of the rocks. A footpath allows access to walk up the hill. Often people climb on the rock face. On a clear day, the Wrekin and the Clee Hills in Shropshire can be seen. There are some former industrial works which can been seen at the bottom of the hill.

Worth a visit. Easy access via the nearby path, and easy parking on local roads that have plenty of laybys- ( B5056) turn off the A515 at the Bentley Brook, and keep going until you find the layby in your right nearest the Rocks. An easy climb for all ages, including dogs and children. A nice view from the top. Not an all day visit, but worth ticking the box. Takes around 15 mins to reach the top, thats all.
