IT WAS AMAZING!!!! I have been here twice and I have loved it both times. Across both of my visits the main activities I did were raft building, climbing frame, climbing wall and boat. I will tell you about all of them. Raft building= we were in teams and we had to build a raft for 4-5 people out of 4 big blue barrels, 2 long pieces of rope, and 2 big wooden logs. It took about 30 minutes because the kind worker helped us a bit. Climbing frame= as you enter Hatfield waterpark, you will see a high, "scary" climbing frame. Well, that is what I am talking about. A worker helped us to find the harnesses and she fastened us up securely. When it was our turn, she attached our harnesses to a long rope that meant if you tripped, you would not fall. We did the whole thing and we were very safe. Climbing wall= this was essentially the same as the last. But it was at the other side. We were strapped in as I said before, and climbed up the wall as high as we could. Boat ride= the workers put us in life jackets, then we got onto the boat. We were allowed to jump off of the boat, and we had to use the oars to drive it round the lake. It was very fun, and it was one of my favourite parts of the trip. I will definitely be visiting Hatfield Water...

Myself and my partner took our 3 nieces today to go on the Aqua park, one of the girls had a accident and hurt her foot, the absolute amazing staff jumped right in to action, first the life guard that we had been chatting to , ( he worked at Thorne leisure centre but was here for the summer, I have totally forgot names) jumped straight in and before I knew it was sat with my niece and had requested a boat to collect us, once we were out of the water about five members of staff were on hand to reassure my niece (who is only 11) that she would be ok, they were all amazing, trying to make her laugh and helping keep her warm, they had a ice pack on hand and had tWo chairs set out ready for her (one for her and one for her to rest her leg on) I can’t thank them enough, I believe the manager was called Becky. Safety and well-being is definitely a priority to the guys and the showed it today, along with compassion. Wish we had not missed out on our session but hey things happen and we will definitely be...

We attended bank holiday Monday. Completed the aqua park and family paddle boarding. Aqua park and paddle boarding was brilliant the kids loved it and have not stopped talking about it since.

My main concern is lack of grassed areas for viewing areas or places to have picnics. There are signs all over not permitting food drink to consumed inside that haven’t been bought from there.

The summer holiday is pricey enough and after spending over £140 for a family of 6 I’ll think we’d be able to take our own picnic. Considering we have 3 kids on the spectrum that need their safe foods. And been told to go sit in the car park by management…

Overall the site facilities could be better and far more family friendly. Next time I shall definitely be travelling the 30 mins extra to Rother valley where it’s a much nicer view, a chance of a walk and lovely picnic in the sun with our family in between any activities we book.

We shall not...

Place itself is a lively one. A lot to do with the children, free climbing wall and water sports available for a separate fee.Playgrounds, skating Park across the field. Lovely. However the toilets, washing facilities of the poorest standard old, anti- sanitary with the large patches of rust, mold, moss growing on the top of the roof. Moreover, the level of noise after 10,11 p. m.is very high. Shouting, swearing, loud conversations, swearing goes well past midnight. Music is played inconsiderable loud, people get rowdy and rude. Which is probably not good for a place welcoming children. We had to come back, although paid for 3 nights, but got no refund. We were forsed to go back home, as the atmosphere is not appropriate for the venue, at the end of the day, it's not a night club or concert arena. Refund was refused, offered to re book next time? But who wants to return to that? Very disappointed.

Really good site, relaxed, big pitches, great open spaces, excellent for young kids with 2 little parks, field next door, skate park close by, decent little shop, water activities were good once you find someone to get you on them. We hired a katakanu for 6 of us and all jumped off for a swim in the lake, some went on the waterpark which was great fun! Bathrooms were generally kept clean but would advise taking your own toilet rolls with you! Kids had a great time!! Overall we all (5 families with kids ranging from 5-15) had a fantastic weekend here and will return.
