We have a year pass for Wingham Wildlife Park and if you're a local (within half hour or so) it's well worth it. It's such a family friendly park with a lot of animals, all positioned in close proximity to each other. This means even those that have small children that can't walk far or need to be carried for significant amounts of time can enjoy the park without it feeling like a full on hike. The park is designed in a way that allows you to get to any of the enclosures easily, with various routes as possibilities, so you can quickly find your favourite animals. Many of the enclosures can also be walked around the complete perimeter, so you get great viewing angles of the animals. There are a fair number of benches dotted around the park so those with weary legs need not worry. There are also patches of grass suitable for picnics when the weather is good. On the subject of food, we tend to take a packed lunch with us, so I can't comment on the price or quality of the food available in the park. However, there are a decent amount of picnic tables in the cafe area. This is also conveniently positioned next to the outdoor play area, so the adults can enjoy a relax whilst the kids burn off some more energy. The hands-on keeper talks are good and allow you to get up close to the animals and even hold/touch some of the smaller ones. They have a great at variety of animals varying from reptiles to butterflies, all the big cats to meerkats, birds to monkeys. They even have dinosaurs. The only thing they're probably missing is an aquarium but the park is ever expanding with new enclosures, so who knows? To round up, the park is fantastic for all animal lovers. So whether you're going on your own, as part of a group or family, it's a great day out. You won't get to see so many animals within such a close walking distance to each other anywhere else in Kent. Enjoy! I

Had a penguin feeding experience for myself and my daughter booked for my birthday, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The penguins are well looked after, and the keeper we had guiding us, Holly, was very knowledgeable and informative. I didn't know we were going to but we took the penguins for a little walk about before feeding which was great fun, waddling about encouraging them to get some exercise although Bubbles was the only one that didn't take a shortcut to rush back for the fish! Spent the rest of the day wandering about the rest of the park to see some amazing animals and learn about the help and conservation they do. It wasn't too busy when we went and had lots of space. I think we saw pretty much everything. I highly recommend feeding the birds in the tropical walk too, but be prepared for a hectic rush of feathers when you get the little pot. They don't hold back, and you might end up with one on your head or shoulder, but they were lovely, and it was all great fun. There are plenty of areas to grab a snack or drink or something more substantial if needed. They have a great soft play area inside and many outside areas that cater for all ages. I even managed to climb up the larger Fort with my daughter and try out one of the lower slides (only to encourage her, of course!) The dinosaur trail is looking a little tired now, but there's lots of work being done on extending and improving the animals' habitats, and that's where you want the money to be spent. All in all, lots to see and do for a great family day out. I would also recommend their experiences and want to go back for another to learn more about these animals, many of which are sadly on the endangered list.

We've visited twice in the last few weeks-once while masks were still mandatory and then again today which is during the summer holidays & masks no longer mandatory. Little'un loves that you can get up close to the flamingos & also the tropical and bug gardens - we often go to other wildlife parks/nature reserves but these are things that are a bit different! Another difference is being able to hand feed the goats-just remember to bring 50p as there are no cash machines, and a pot if you don't want to hold it all in your hand! It is a shame that the reptile house & bunny area is closed while they're making a new building, but hopefully it'll be worth the wait! Summer hol time is typical - lots of loud & screaming kids pushing in front to look at things with parents ignoring them..later on in the afternoon once they've gone home is much better to see certain areas such as the tropical house which went from having birds all perched up high to lorikeets flying around our heads & sitting around us! Food is typically expensive - 2.40 for a bottle of fizz or small coffee. Similar price for a sandwich, 5.50ish for a burger and chips or 2.80 for a 1 scoop icecream. I don't begrudge the pricing too much as i know these places will be struggling after lockdowns & their profits go towards the animal care. The amount of time spent depends on what you want out of the day-our last visit we spent about half a day there, but today we spent a whole day wandering & had multiple visits to the bug garden/tropical house. All in all, a good day which no doubt will be even better when their construction is completed and when it's not so screamy!

What an incredible day at Wingham Wildlife Park! Our visit was a kaleidoscope of adventure and joy that left an indelible mark on our hearts. Accompanied by two eager young explorers under 10, we embarked on a journey that surpassed all expectations. The highlight of our day was undoubtedly the mesmerizing sight of a dedicated staff member feeding the awe-inspiring tigers. Standing in close proximity to these magnificent creatures was an experience that words can hardly do justice. The air crackled with excitement, and our hearts raced with anticipation as we witnessed the raw power and grace of these incredible animals. From start to finish, the park was a symphony of colors and emotions. Laughter echoed through lush pathways as our little adventurers encountered creatures from around the world. The park’s atmosphere was electric, charged with the energy of discovery and amazement. As the sun painted the sky in warm hues, our day at Wingham Wildlife Park unfolded like a series of vibrant canvases, each moment more unforgettable than the last. The passion and dedication of the staff were evident in every corner, creating an environment that truly fosters a deep connection with the animal kingdom. This day will forever remain etched in our memories as an enchanting tale of wonder and excitement. A heartfelt thank you to Wingham Wildlife Park for providing us with an experience that transcended our expectations. If you’re seeking a day filled with awe, laughter, and unforgettable moments, look no further than this incredible haven of nature and adventure. Highly recommended!

The park itself is good plenty to do but the indoor cafe and staff let it down. We ordered two jacket potatoes which were fine but my mum ordered a ham salad at £5.70 which came in a small bowl and absolutely nothing on it nor Available, when i asked if they had any salad dressings ect i was told i had to purchase a sachet of mayonnaise at 40p which i refused also as my mum cant eat mayonnaise. They then said they don't do any dressings so i asked for a refund on the salad, to be told no refunds and to buy a sachet of mayonnaise again after speaking to the cafe supervisor who still kept saying i can not refund you i asked to speak to the manager her reply was there is no one available, eventually out of nowhere the hospitality manager appeared and again offered me mayonnaise but this time free when i explained my mum Cant have mayonnaise and we wanted a refund to be told still no we dont allow refunds and on the board we don't say with sauces. As i have worked in catering in the past i explained there is no reason as to why a refund cant be made as it was not what i thought it would be. The managers are rude and obnoxious and seeing by other reviews we were not the only ones who have had this issue. Its a real shame and nothing more than money grabbing. If you are to visit please be advised even if your food is disgusting or not cooked correctly you'll be met with sorry no refunds which is absolutely diabolical. This has definitely made my judgement on here and after visiting a few times before i will never be returning as the cafe staff have no respect for customers at all.

First time visiting this large Kent zoo. Visited by car – a bit off the beaten track for public transport, although no doubt there are options. There is a huge car park to the front, with many spaces for cars and coaches. Entry was quick and painless – get your tickets online and they send you a barcode that you scan on arrival. You can also pay on arrival, but booking in advance like this saves you £2.50 a ticket, so why wouldn’t you, really…. Also available to book are various experience things like time with the wolves, otters etc. Not sure how those work. They stamp your hand on arrival – ‘Wing’ – I assume this lets you return to your car if necessary and get back in again. Inside, park is well laid out with large enclosures – lots of animals to see on the day, including big cats, primates and wolves. There were also giraffes and those miniature kangaroos that you sometimes see. There was also a moon bear, but we couldn’t really get near that on this visit. Lots to see – there is also a reptile house, penguins and various exhibits involving insects. Large wolf enclosure, but no visible wolves on this occasion – presumably all hidden away to the rear. They have one of those areas with the fibreglass dinosaurs which you see so often nowadays – also something similar with giant model insects. Lots of places to sit down and get food or drink scattered around the park. A good way to spend a few hours – plenty to see and do. Well worth a visit.
