Falconry Experience Wales (Strictly by Appointment only) — Attraction in Dwyriw

This place is amazing. I cannot recommend it enough. The guy that runs it is so passionate, and so very good at his job, he facilitates the experience for wonderfully, seemlessly moving around the group. There is so much time spent with the birds, it is incredible to see them right there on your glove, as well as swooping around you. Dress warm, and bring gloves to wear under the gaunlet as it isn't very active so it's easy to get cold and you very much want to enjoy every moment. Go for three hours, it is sincerely worth it and the dude is great at taking the photos. The guy who runs it really loves the birds, not as pets to be possessed or attractions to make money, but as animals in their own rights. He respects the birds, and acts in their best interest first and foremost. The birds are so well looked after they are in stunning condition and you get to see all of that detail over and over right up close. They are so captivating, it's impossible not to spend every moment staring at them. I couldn't recommend this enough, and it a great activity for day time birthday celebrations, and seriously a must for falcon/hawk lovers. The owls are so very beautiful, and seeing a barn owl up close really feels like a privilege when they are so elusive in the wild. Review of Falconry Experience Wales We've just returned from an amazing day out. Barry and Luce were so welcoming, when we arrived we felt expected and were greeted by the birds being displayed in the field on their perches. Luce and Barry are so knowledgeable and passionate about their birds. What an amazing day. The one 2 one experience felt personal to us and we loved handling the birds and seeing them fly and feed onto our glove. I would highly recommend a visit, excellent service and value for money. We will go back again to see the vultures when they grow bigger and the storks that may be arriving soon. Thank you Luce and Barry you are a credit to your birds and conservation. What a fantastic experience ! My husband and I went for the afternoon on a just for you experience. Barry and Luce’s passion, expertise, knowledge and love of these birds of Prey makes the whole event educational and personal. Could not recommend the company highly enough. From initial meeting of various owls, Hawks, eagles and falcons to flying them in the fields was amazing. My husband has done other experiences and this outshone them by a mile.
