We stayed in a safari tent lodge. Overall, it was a pleasant stay but not without niggles. The doors on the lodge were difficult to close. We backed onto the camping section which could be loud but generally everyone respected the quiet times - just the quiet times didn’t marry with our personal quiet times but it didn’t affect our kids sleeping. We weren’t sure what to expect being on site with a theme park but it was generally quite peaceful. The toilet blocks were always clean and very warm. We attempted to use the family bathroom; the bath was luke warm although because it was warm weather the kids didn’t mind. The shower did however turn to a trickle randomly mid shower and was useless so I had to jump in the bath instead to finish my wash. Hubby instead went to use the main showers which he reported were quite cold - this was about 6pm in the evening so whether it was a bad time we couldn’t say. We resorted to sink washes thereafter. When we return (which we will), we will book a lodge with a bathroom. The mattresses on the beds were too soft for our personal taste but didn’t affect sleep. The lodge was impeccably clean, the bedding was lovely and had everything we needed to self cater. The kids loved the cabinet bed and the quality of the blackout blinds meant they had a few lie ins! We enjoyed the sleepy morning pace of things. The food in the clubhouse was ok. Everything was edible and fair value but nothing to get really excited about. On the whole staff were very friendly and helpful all over the site. It’s a great place for kids, we enjoyed being close to the park to come and go as we pleased and the kids loved the adventure area after hours. The park had a great mix of adventure and adrenaline for our kids - one turned 10 while we were there and the other is 5. Our 10 year old loves rollercoasters and rides, the 5 year old takes a lot of coaxing but they both ultimately enjoyed themselves. We took the opportunity to visit the donkey sanctuary for a slower day while we were there and dropped into Sidmouth. The site/park is really easy to find and well placed for exploring. We also visited Greendale just up the road which is a very impressive farm shop with a little farm that the kids (and Husband) thoroughly enjoyed!

Is this really the best the South West has to offer? 🤔 I won't waste my money here again standing to watch people with a ride access pass go on rides all day long. I have a child with ADHD and who has an EHCP. I have another child who is on the ASD pathway. I personally know the access card is there to help people with disabilities enjoy experiences, but here it was very obviously abused ruining the experience for all others. For instance, my son has an access card because he finds queues difficult, and it is hard for him to be around loud noises. I got no response to my enquiry on if my child would be able to use his card here, but we came any way as my husband had to work nearby, and it is half term. When we got here, the access card was used by families to get a ride access pass, and then it was used to queue jump all day long. So a family without the card had to wait 45-60 mins to ride the twister roller coaster, which wasn't worth the wait as goes around once, whereas a family with it could ride 4 times in that time. There are only 2x 4-seater carts. Usually, the card should be used once, and then there is a wait time before it can be used again - so a person with a disability doesn't have to physically queue with all the stresses that has but at the same time it doesn't put everyone else to a disadvantage. When I raised this issue with the ride assistant and it was clear my son was suffering from the buzzer noise at the start of the rides they seemed powerless to do anything saying it was park rules to let the same family go on first again, only after just having a go. But this wasn't the only incident where a ride assistant seemed powerless to tackle poor behaviour. At the aqua blasters, there is a sign that clearly says not to spray water at the queue. This was done by the same boy 3 times until I told him off as he got water in my daughter's eye, which hurt her, and me in the face 3 times. The parents/guardians did nothing. I spoke to the ride assistant and asked her what the repercussions are for children who have broken the rules (e.g., is it to be called in early), and she told me she was too busy calling boats in and getting children in and out to do anything about it, but she said she would issue a verbal warning. No warning was given, and the other children copied the poor example. This is an accident waiting to happen and can be prevented by putting up plastic panels to protect those in the queue. All in all, this wasn't a pleasurable day out because ride assistants have not been trained to act when issues occur, therefore I won't come again even with a ride access pass and my children don't want to come back either.

We had the most fantastic day at Crealy, and I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to assist and make our visit extra special. The layout of the park is brilliant—everything is easy to navigate, and it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making it enjoyable for all ages. The rides were so much fun, with something for everyone, from thrill-seekers to younger children. We were impressed with the variety and the smooth operations at each ride and minimal queuing. The Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning. It felt like stepping into a winter wonderland, and when the sun set and the lights came on, the park transformed into something truly magical. Walking around at night with all the twinkling lights was a highlight of our day (especially the light trail) Meeting Santa was hands-down the best we have ever experienced. It was extremely well-organised, and the entire setup made it feel genuinely magical for our daughter. The attention to detail was incredible, and Santa himself was absolutely wonderful, taking the time to make each child feel special. That being said, there are a couple of areas where improvements could be made: 1. The car park: Unfortunately, the state of the car park left a lot to be desired. It’s full of potholes and uneven dips, making it very difficult to drive on. Additionally, there was no lighting in the car park, which made it VERY HARD to locate our car in the pitch black at the end of the day. Some improvements here would make a big difference. 2. Sooty’s Diner: While the food was delicious when we eventually received it, the lack of organisation was disappointing. The service felt chaotic, and it took far too long to get our meals. Despite these minor setbacks, Crealy delivered an unforgettable experience for our family, and we will definitely be returning. The overall magic of the park, especially at Christmas, far outweighs the small issues. Thank you, Crealy, for such a wonderful day and Merry Christmas!

We stayed for the weekend and had access to the park with our stay. We had the best time making memories as a family and loved the Halloween theme/experiences in the park. We had two members of staff on the rides who made our daughters experience fantastic and engaged really well with her. Shaun who was on the swing ship which is our daughters favourite ride, he was friendly and went above and beyond for his job you could tell he loved his job and also Josie who was on the inside rides as she also interacted with our little girl and seemed so happy. She also helped us to pick out pumpkins and my little girl said “ it’s my friend Josie” Queue times were quick even with it being busy. We commented on how friendly everyone who works at crealy was and especially enjoyed the acrobats in the big tent show. The only thing that let it down for us was the amount of unsupervised children who at times tried to push in or were a little rude but we didn’t let that spoil the fun. We’ve made memories to last a lifetime ❤️ The tent accommodation was good, the facilities were checked regularly and seemed clean most of the time. We had an extremely loud family next to us which was a shame as they were screaming and shouting untill 1am each night and even woke us up in the mornings with similar behaviour so would have been nice to have had a bit more peace and quiet after 10ish at night. We will definitely visit again.

This place was ideal for my 9 and 7 year old. There are so many slides and play areas. We had a free return within 7 days, which we used. Was quite busy on day one, so I would recommend arriving 9.30 even though the park opens at 10. Loved so many of the rides. My wife was mad about Sooty as a kid so Sooty land was a must. We didn't stay there, so we can't review using it as a resort.
