Lovely walk, slightly ruined by horribly difficult way of paying for parking (non NT member). Forced to download yet another app - weak mobile data signal so we tried to phone the number instead. Listened to automated voice for so long we gave up and went back to downloading app. All in all took about 10 minutes for a 20-something year old. Why can’t we just put coins in...

This is a small, gravel surfaced car park. It’s a short distance outside Sidmouth. There’s no pay and display machine there, non national trust members are directed to pay by phone. The car park is set in woodland and there are several walks are available from there. We followed a path through to the woodland, out to a viewpoint that...

FREE parking for NT members. £3/day for non members. Small parking (U shaped) and can fit up to 20 cars if people park sensibly. Gets full especially on bank holidays and if you arrive late. If you do the coastal walk to Sidmouth, you’ll be blessed with the most spectacular view.

Loved it and it will not be long before we are back again. The beach at Salcombe Regis is very quiet however over 140 steep and uneven steps to beach which is a pebble beach. But if you can handle it may be worth it we even found some fossils without looking too hard.
