Anstey Park — Attraction in East Hampshire

Anstey Park used to be an all football Park many years ago it also didn't have a keep fit centre but it did have a swimming pool where the red cross centre is, but over the years the swimming pool closed because of the sports centre , The keep fit centre was built and All The football fields were swapped for rugby fields, All the trees were cut down and carparks were built, and a scout hut was built in the park, they still have some good recreation on the park at times but not as much as in older times, it just seems that with power and money these days the council seems to do what ever they want . The park does not see as many people or kids playing sports but as long as it's there and not used for development or housing estates like a lot of places maybe at sometime it Will come back to what...

It's a damn shame that after a good deal of investment in building new facilities (basketball, netball and tennis), the area has been taken over by junkies.

My teenager and his friends no longer feel safe there. Harassed by stoners who steal their refreshments and ask if they have any "gear" etc.

Police? Not on your nelly - too busy sitting around investigating thought-crimes that have offended some...
