We visited Rye-assic adventure park for the first time today as first time parents to a three month old baby. We saw they had a new sensory room on TikTok and thought we would give it a try! We were running 40 minutes late to our soft play session however this wasn’t a problem at all and they seemed very understanding. Upon arrival, we went to the desk and waited less than a minute before a member of staff, Trish (presumably the manager) walked over, greeted us and showed us to the sensory room. Although the sensory room was a lot smaller than expected, it was very clean and was great for our 3 month old - he absolutely loved it! And only £3.50 for our infant and adults completely free. During our stay, we were then able to go into the soft play area to have a drink, snack and feed our baby. Trish then approached us again, asking how our first experience was. She was very friendly and talkative. We visited at 3pm on a Saturday so we expected it to be a little chaotic but the staff seemed to have everything under control. We would definitely recommend this adventure park, especially if you have different aged children as there are a variety of activities to do here. With a sensory room for under twos, soft play area, go karts, sandpit, outdoor play area and more! As the park was closing at 5pm, we were still feeding our baby - Trish very kindly told us to stay until we had finished and not to worry about leaving quickly. Great first experience, 5/5 - will...
Read moreHave always came here and kids had a great time, this time will be my last as the staff manager is shocking and the workers (all young) look beaten down. I booked my child's 6th birthday party and we've had one there before so thought it would be same quality. We wasn't acknowledged at all, took half an hour for anyone to say hi, not even here's your party you paid for! Asked us if they could pack our food away to take home, with an hour still left of the party. Was asked 20 minutes earlier if they could clear my section and felt rushed out. Not the staffs fault as they are doing job but very unprofessional to pass messages through young kids especially with things like asking us to clear away early because they have another party. I was handed the birthday cake and a lighter, they then shut the lights off and played the music straight away without giving even a second to light the candles.A shame because I've held parties there before and would go weekly as the place was always lively and cheery. No effort at all was made. Tried to find the manager as I was leaving to complain but once again couldn't, just some young workers behind a counter looking uncomfortable as it...
Read moreBig shout out to Trish who runs it. Yes Fay my daughter (who will soon be 5) has been going for a number of years and we have noticed the attractions steadily increasing both indoors and out.
The positives with this place are the outdoor spaces so great for summer. Good trampolines. ANd a big bouncy slide - which can get red hot in direct sunlight so be careful.
Inside and the playzone is a bit cramped for my taste (its roomier at Adventure Castle and 360-Stevenage) but then they are converted warehouses so have the head height. But Fay enjoys it and its tall enough for her.
The decor is good too. Themed on dinosaurs so of course I get asked a lot about dinos !
Food prices are comparable with local places too.
Parking is free and plenty of it. For first timers this place can be hard to find you do have to keep going down strange back roads and then alleyways to get there. But once found its easy to find again like anything. Just head for Rye House Station then you cant miss it !
Its never been what I would called mega busy. So do go and...
