Such a lovely museum which will keep you occupied for an hour or two, and its only £4 to go in. There are lots of Microcars from those which appear to have rear seats and be suited to a family to the BMW Isettas which pretty much everyone of a certain age recognises as a 'Bubble Car'. Also there are several dioramas; scenes from shop fronts and other things from the same era. I loved everything about the museum except for the tea room at the front. Due to everything being very old in the museum, theres a general musty fusty aroma. I don't know what the cafe serves up besides Tea, Coffee and cakes but one of our party chose a piece of chocolate cake which was extremely bland and awful. I'd suggest if you want food, call in to Langrick Station cafe which is 3 minutes down the road on the opposite side. PS The cafe at the museum has been severely marked down by the Food Standards Agency 31/5/23 -They have scored 1 which means a Major improvement is necessary. They'll have to spend a lot to make it somewhere people would want to eat. As I said previously, before we knew this, my friend had a ghastly piece of 'chocolate cake' there....

I was very impressed. I was quite excited about visiting The Bubblecar Museum and wasn't disappointed in the slightest. There was a really good selection of cars and plenty of information about them. What I really liked is it was more than just about cars, but about the era when these cars were popular and the displays around the side were done really well.

The gift shop and cafe were well presented and staff extremely friendly and welcoming.

(there are some items that may offend some people, but please remember that this is a museum and shows the past. Things that were popular then, might not be now as people's views and culture changes. Things we like today might offend in the future, but we shouldn't pretend that the past didn't happen)

Overall its worth a visit and well presented. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Covid On entering you are asked to provide tracing details and hand sanitiser is available. Masks are worn indoors and social distancing is encouraged on entering and groups are staggered to...

We looked forward as a family to go here for quite a while but although the museum is great value for money and would recommend it for a way of killing an hr or two, the unhappy old woman serving us was not very pleasant and the guy/owner didn't know how much they charged that day for entry. On top of that when we were served our beverages the two tea cups looked like they had just been rinsed under a hot tap with remnants of the last brew and lipstick still on the cups. The tea pot looked like she took it out of the museum itself, not because of it's age but because it looked like it had never seen soap since the late 70's. The cobwebs and dirt within the cafe area was quite disgusting. All in all avoid the cafe like it has the plague with attitude but museum was a nice 30 min to an hr stroll. Unfortunately it didn't end there just before we were leaving I thought I best use the bathroom and well the only thing clean in there was the inside of the...

We first heard about this museum on Bargain Hunt and thought it could be interesting. It certainly is, and it is really a bargain price to enter. We decided to have a drink and something to eat and were pleasantly surprised by the prices, again very low. So, what are the drawbacks? Well, it is small, and you need to buy a £1 guidebook to learn about the exhibits as there is no information displayed. The exhibits are not typical museum fresh, rather more realistic with plenty of faded paintwork and scratches, etc, but that all adds to their charm. Then there are very limited opening hours, Friday to Sunday between 10 am and 4 pm only! Would we visit again? Too right, but not straight away as they will need time to change the exhibits. If you enjoy camping they also have a camping area.

This was an awesome find when looking for things to do with my kids (M15&F13). It's a gem of a place not far from Boston. It is out in the countryside, with beautiful views, and space on site for a picnic should you go during nice weather. There is parking on site, a small cafe, gift shop, and toilet facilities. It is fantastic value for money, with a large display of various types of bubblecars and small vehicles. There is a guidebook that provides you with further information on the exhibits, along with some information alongside the displays. We spent a good couple of hours at the museum, and if you go on the days that they allow you to ride in some of the vehicles you could spend longer here.

The museum itself is based on the same premises as a camping park and cafe. The current cost to enter is £4 per adult. The cars themselves are in a good condition and the collection itself is interesting whilst not being overly large. To walk around the museum, probably takes about 20 minutes to half an hour. The disappointing thing about the museum is there are no displays with information on each vehicle, you have to buy an additional guide book to get this information. It maybe only a pound, but the visual displays in the museum could be better. An OK museum, but more a private collection of cars open to the public.
