Branston Golf & Country Club — Attraction in East Staffordshire

I took 3 of my grandchildren to the crazy golf 8yrs 11yrs and 14yrs. It was really lovely. I decided to go to the clubhouse for refreshments. We went onto the deck outside as it was a sunny day. As soon as we stepped out the door to find a table I was approached and told sorry the children can't sit out here. I offered to go back inside but was told if I walked to the far end and turn to the right there was space to sit there. On entering this space it was cluttered with old tables and chairs the yard could have done with a good sweep and maybe a jet wash. As I went to go to the bar to order refreshments I noticed that there were 2 tables occupied and children younger than mine seated where we were told I couldn't sit. When I approached another of the waitresses I was told we'll it's in case the children were hit with a golf ball. I said have the other diners been informed about this? She said I don't know. I was also told at the bar that the waitress who initially told us that we couldn't sit out there was in a mood.... well mood or not I didn't appreciate being shoved in an out of the way place with my grandchildren a place that was unloved and cared for while other children sat in a nice place . The waitress in question was called Sue and needs to leave her moods at the door before starting work. ...

Me and my partner went to branston golf club to discuss our wedding for the 21st of August 2021, first we were greeted at the main entrance by Sammy, she had a big smile on her face and very welcoming, my first impression as we entered was how pristine everything looked, big beautiful piano sat there all black and shiny, table settings were perfect, white table cloths, shiny cutlery, carpets were all well maintained just perfect, Sammy also took us outside and showed us around, again all was very well maintained, seating and tables, beautiful roses over a arch entrance, Sammy explained providing the weather was good if we wanted to we could have the ceremony outside, after we had a look around the building Sammy explained to us all about the full wedding package we had chosen, we were very happy with the pice and very excited about our wedding, before we left Sammy said if you need to ask me any questions or your unsure about anything just call or email me I'm always here and she stuck to her word, Sammy has helped us from start to finish to make sure we had the best day ever, the food was outstanding, and all the staff were very professional, polite, and helpful, I can't thank Sammy and the rest of the Staff at Branston golf club enough for our perfect day,

Went to the New Year Dinner and Entertainment. We went in 2023 and really enjoyed the night, apart from the waiter dripping crazy over one of our guests. Why do they put sauce/gravy on a plate before it’s served. Always difficult for the staff, especially when some of them are not very experienced. The entertainment was good. This year was near-on a repeat of 2023 but initially it didn’t hit the mark as far as entertainment was concerned. It was an 80’s music themed line up, but it was a little hit and miss; some pretty good dancers and some not so good and a little mundane. Later the music choice changed and got better, probably with the alcohol kicking in. Overall, the food was good, but the amuse bouch burnt your tongue with too many chilli flakes and the chocolate pudding was ummmmm, not sure; I saw many going back to the kitchen not finished. However, let’s finish on a high, the beef was cooked superb. One last note. There’s never enough bar staff there. They seem inexperienced in the main, but with one guy who knew exactly what he was doing and seemed to carry the rest of the team. I’m sorry I can’t remember your name but you know who you are.
