Firstly, I would like to say that the staff members serving on the tills/booking you into the farm are very rude and not helpful in the slightest. I wanted to book onto the toddler morning but was told you have to book online. so I stood to the side so other members of the public could access the front desk. I was told I wouldn't be successful on booking onto the toddler morning as it was too late. ( It was only 11:00 o clock at this time, and still 30 minutes left untill the offer ended) fortunately I managed to book the right slot. It took a while as the reception is terrible in the area. Once I had brought animal feed/tractor ride fees,I was trying to leave the cafe to access the farm. but with x2 toddlers and a pushchair I was having great difficulty, not one staff member offered to help.
The farm itself is lovely and well kept. The Staff in the animal barn were approachable and very friendly.
We ordered food to eat outside as the cafe was very over crowded. And as you can imagine with my experience of trying to exit the cafe I didn't want the hassle again. ( entrance is very small, it's not wheelchair or pushchair accessible).
The food we ordered arrived in no time, it was lovely. I have no complaints on that behalf.
While eating lunch outside my son sat forward on his chair to reach for his cutlery and the chair collapsed beneath him, it was very lucky he didn't bang his head off the table. He did complain of hurting his arm though. He had a little red mark with a scratch. ( no medical attention needed) I told a staff member about this matter but of course they brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal. Again, they weren't helpful in the slightest. She didn't even ask if my son was okay.
I have visited this farm on a number of occasions, I have been massively put off by my visit today which is very...
Read moreWe visited here with our 15 month old boy and we all loved it. It's great value for money considering there is plenty to do for all ages.
You're able to buy animal feed to give the animals to make your visit more engaging. You're also able to go into some inclosures to stroke some of the animals (guinea pigs & rabbits).
They have a recently extended sand pit for kids to play in with plenty of toys to keep them entertained. Next to the sand pit are some battery operated tractors kids can drive around a little track. This is included in your entry price.
The cafe has a great range of food and drink for a reasonable price. They also do vegetarian & vegan options for those wondering.
You're also able to enter the goat enclosure for a personal experience however this does cost extra and you may wish to book this online ahead if you're wanting to do so to ensure you have a slot.
They do sometimes have special events on at the farm so it's definitely worth keeping an eye on their social media pages to see what's happening and when.
Finally, during term time they have selected dates for baby and parent days. You get a hot drink & cake, plus entry for a reduced price. They also set out a play area in the cafe or on the lawns for toddlers and babies to play with on these select days. Visit their website or social media for the...
Read moreI'd like to share my experience we arrived at the farm and had a lovely lunch in the restaurant can not fault the food. We decided we would go into the farm and paid at the shop till and walked through via the side entrance,we noted that there was no one manning the entrance onto the farm so to be honest we could have just walked through without paying. We walked round and looked at the animals which took 10 minutes. My 5 year old noticed the tractors as there was children and a parent in there already we waited until they finished. We went in my son sat on the tractor I paid then noticed the other tractor in his way so went and moved it as I did this my son turned to miss it and ran into my foot. I was seriously injured no staff around until called out of which they came out with the accident book and there first words to me was well you shouldn't have been in there. There was no staff on the farm supervising of this of which for future reference I would advise with such...
