I got in touch with a Wowcher booking code for 2 people. Booking went smoothly after I got through via email. The falconry is in a garden centre which is poorly sign posted. Had to ask a couple of people for directions. On the emails I was told there'd be a maximum of 12 people in our group session but I counted 15. We got to see 3 owls and one more bird of prey. The birds were super cute. Can't fault them at all. David did however seem a little unhappy at times I think because your assistant failed to show up so thing were difficult. You were really knowledgeable and shared great info on the birds. I don't think I'd ever come back to this particular falconry for another experience. But I do appreciate it all the same. 4*s due to...
Read moreA great experience! We met Skittles, Tilly and Sweep the barn owls, Kojo the African Spotted Eagle Owl and Kit the Harris' Hawk. All except Tilly flew to our (gloved) hands. Tilly performed her party piece of devouring a whole mouse. The birds are all beautiful, Kojo has amazing plumage and Sweep is melanistic so looks very different to other barn owls. All backed up by very informative talk by the guide, who was great and put everyone at ease with the birds. Two hours just flew by (pardon the pun). Read moreHad a great time on the hawk walk - David and Amy are overflowing with knowledge about the hawks and it was really engaging and interesting. Everyone in the group got to spend an equal amount of time with the bird and David has this down perfectly, remembering everyone’s names immediately. scout the hawk is the star of the show - he is extremely well behaved and clearly great at his job, would highly recommended if you want a different sort of day out or have any interest in birds. We do not have kids but a great activity for children where they will learn a lot. It’s located at the back of the garden centre...
