We went for a walk around Molesey Heath Nature reserve. It was looking lovely with all the spring flowers and the air was filled with bird song. We heard more birds than we saw. Lots of butterflies and bees about and it is popular with dog walkers. Don't wear shorts as there are lots of brambles and nettles. A pleasant place for a gentle stroll and wildlife watching.

Great rustic space. Ideal for some birding as there are a number of different habitats in this relatively small open space. Very popular with dog walkers, some of whom forget to pick up their dog's mess, so do be aware!

Nice place for a walk, rarely that busy, feels like you're miles from anywhere. The only real negative is a lack of any amenities. No toilets or cafe...

It was called The Molesey Dump all through the 1970's and 80's growing up before the nature reserve us kids would spend so much time there Bmx,motorbikes and fishing or shortcuts to Field common Esher Hersham Walton. Police would sometimes show up on Suzuki DR400 motorbikes when we're there on motorbikes and as long as we wasn't causing trouble then they would ride with us....

Large open nature reserve reclaimed from worked out gravel pits followed by land waste infill. Bounded by the Mole River and Island Barn water reservoir and the Dead River (or Caundle). Varied habitat from open grassland low scrub to woodland, paticularly by the Mole River. Signposted walks. We walked along the Mole and then the Dead River and then looped back...
