The Gothic Tower at Painshill — Attraction in Elmbridge

Impressive tower with a 99 step spiral staircase leading to impressive views from the top. On a clear day it's possible to see parts of London and Windsor castle. Inside the tower are a couple of floors of seating and an information room, with boards extensively covering Painshill's history and the grand tours that inspired it. Very impressive object that was reconstructive. Not very much to see inside, but it is a big change or exercise to walk up to the top on a spiral staircase. The top of the tower prices everyone with an amazing view of the surrounding area. Access there is for free, but to get there you have to buy a ticket to Painshill Park. Great for a walk with interesting things to see. The trail can be bit confusing as sign posts are minimal, which led to a bit of backtracking. 100% take a map and some good footwear that can handle loose and pointy stones and loose dirt tracks. The Grotto and Hermitage were the stand out locations for me. Really creepy but...
