First impressions.. not a very large carpark. Cafe was nice but didn't hold the same hours as the garden so if you wanted a snack or a cup of tea before you left you had to ensure of the time. A nice walk through the gardens, passing a few ponds with their decked bridges stretching into lovely freshly cut lawns. Trees arched above the many walkways meandering down towards the river Wye. There were families with children playing on the opposite side with the canoes and boards enjoying the warmth of the summer sun, albeit only for a few days! You strolled up through the rockery garden, up towards the private house and around back toward the cafe. Not paved for mobility scooters, but could be done with a walking stick at an easy pace with plenty of benches to stop for a picnic or just a rest to take...

Cafe and walled garden. I had absolutely stuffed crispy bacon roll with separate brown sauce, my partner a cheese scone with Hereford Hop cheese and home made chutney. Both really tasty and well priced. I had a real flat white! That lovely slightly bitter coffee flavour through the steamed milk and the flavour lasted the whole cup rather than the first few sips, I'd travel here just for the coffee! The walled garden has beautiful arrangements of flowers and shrubs. Single dahlias, single petalled cosmos, agapanthus, huge Lilies, beautiful covered walkway, against a background of different trees. Just a lovely experience. Four stars rather than five cos I had asked for a brown bap and got white. Usually I'd comp, ain, but the experience was so good I felt I would have...

We went on Christmas Eve because the website advertises it as being open all year round, although Google said it was closed 24th to 26th December. It was deserted - and the cafe was closed up. On the cafe door was a schedule of opening hours over the Christmas holidays and we wondered why this couldnt have been put on their website. However, the owner saw us wandering around as were leaving and said we could go into the gardens. It's not the biggest of gardens but it really was pretty even in winter, laid out on multiple levels down to the river beyond. It would be interesting to see the gardens at different times of the year. However, we did feel that £9pp is expensive for what there is there and feel that £5pp would be a more reasonable price, especially in the...

We recently visited the gardens at Brobury House and it was a really lovely couple of hours spent in beautiful surroundings. There's a free car park and the paths around the garden are mostly gravel so suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. There are a few very narrow paths around the ponds. Really nice café with a good selection of food and drinks. Inside and outside seating. Cleanest toilets I've used in some time. The sconces and sausage rolls are delicious. Very pleasant staff. I was really impressed with the beautiful variety of flowers and trees. Definitely worth a visit. Can't comment on the house as it didn't appear to be open on the day we visited.

Another wonderful visit to the cafe. We often come for a lunch or just coffee or cake, often without visiting the gardens, as we think the cafe itself is worth a special trip. It’s such a lovely place, friendly atmosphere, outdoor seating when the weather is good (in stunning garden settings where you can enjoy garden without walking and without paying entry!), excellent food and also great value. The specials change regularly and are always delicious, high quality ingredients and always presented and served with thoughtful touches (think toasted seeds on the salad for example).
