Great place to go for a leisurely stroll. Be warned though it can get quite windy so wrapping up well is advised. If you're a fossil hunter amateur or experienced you will get a lot out of a walk along compton. You are never a stones throw from a fossil of some kind and just looking along the crumbling rock faces has a chance of spying something new each time. If you are a surfer then this is one good place to come, and many a windy wet sunday you can see people out in the choppy waters. Usually an ice cream van in the car park too so well worth a visit on...

Fabulous beach for any activity....swimming, building sandcastles, walking, rock pooling, fossil hunting....plus amazing sunsets!

One of my favourite beaches on the island - perfect place to spend the day in the summer. Bring a picnic or there’s a great ice cream van. Toilets too. It does get very busy in peak season but justifiably so!

A lovely sandy beach, great views of the cliff, my dog enjoyed a good roll and run on the sands. Car park was extremely full and a little awkward to park in due to high numbers buying from the icecream van.
