Dutton Locks — Attraction in England

I planned a cycle route on KOMOOT, and Dutton Locks was on the route. I stopped here for a short break before continuing with my route. Not sure if the area is a conservation area, but there appears to be plenty of cycling and walking routes nearby. Not sure if you can get to the lock by car, better maybe to park in the Lea Arms Pub Car park, (Weverham / Acton Brige) cross over the road by the Swing Bridge, and follow the path by the side of the River to the Lock. If memory serves me well, the Lea Arms sells food, so the chance of a pleasant afternoon pub...

A beautiful area for a nice walk. The canal ways are so peaceful and the views from the track are lovely. At the locks there is a little seating area which is good place to stop for a rest. The lock area also connects several different walking /cycling routes so your spot fit choice in terms of which way to go. A short wall away is the Leigh Arms which is a good pub serving great for and drink. Well worth...

A extremely relaxing and seren area to visit for the day or a get away/break . Lots of beautiful wildlife also.

I stayed at the Dutton locks in the Shepards hut. I found this property via Airbnb, which is set back from one of the 4 lovely cottages on the private island.

I would highly recommend this island/area.
