Lovely quiet place to bring the dogs, have a picnic, and beautiful views with swans. It's beautiful but I think with a bit of money invested and attention, it could be even more of a stunning place. Not sure if you can swim there in summer, then again also not sure you might want to...

Short walk from our house. Good way to exercise, feed the wildlife and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. Can't tell you about the evening and night time though!

A little bit of paradise on a sunny day, Hemlington lake. We've got 9 baby swans are swimming this year. Hope & pray they all survive.

Hemlington lake is peaceful depending on if there's annoying people about or if you're like me and you can't stand the smell of green 🤢because some people go fishing here and some fishermen smoke joints not all the time though.

It is dog friendly to so you can let your dog off thr lead if you want to but be careful though as you never know what other people's dogs are like and also if the swans are nearby and your dogs off the lead call your dogs back as swans are not fond of dogs.

Hemlington lake is a good stress reliever as well as personally I sit and watch the waves or even the ducks or bring bread and feed the ducks and I think people who live in Hemlington are lucky because not alot of people have a lake they can just sit by.

The only problem about the lake is during winter the lake can be frozen over and sometimes you get kids walking over it as there's no fence or anything to try to stop the kids so it's annoying the fact no one is...

Beautiful walk around the lake. With a mature of mature trees, woodland, and small copses.

There are plenty of wetland wildflowers around the edge of the lake, and patches of meadow remnants along the lake overflow channel. Look closely and you might spot water voles feeding or swimming.

In autumn, traditional apple varieties can be found at a number of points around the park, as well as greengages in some of the copses.

On summer evenings several bat species can be found feeding on insects.

The lake and the park attract a wide variety of wildfowl and other birds, making it a good place to see wildlife...

Lovely lake to get some peaceful fishing done at with some very well looked after composite pegs. There is a more than an average amount of weed on the bed on the lake but breaks away fairly easily. There is ample parking with disabled bays and the entire lakeside is disabled friendly, the only thing preventing me from rating 5 stars is far too many dog walkers who allow their dogs onto the fishing pegs sometimes getting into fisherman's bait if something could be done to get owners to keep dogs on the lead it would be a 5 star fishing venue in my...
